"My only real criticism of this property is essentially a cautionary one. It concerns the unusual step spanning across the entire junction space between the living room and the kitchen. It is most counterintuitive to have to step (15cm or so, in fact) down from the living area as required here, and it is easy at first to forget to do so at first. I stumbled several times, as did my partner. I could see the structural reasons for the step because of the need for the kitchen ceiling and roofline to...

"We flew over from Australia for a weekend in Kaikoura, fishing and diving The house was awesome, we could walk out the back and down to the beach for a cold plunge in the ocean to wake up, the house was spacious and had us entertained with games by night.we also enjoyed the fire place of an evening, the view of the ocean was a treat with dolphins and fish jumping all day "

"My husband, daughter and our dog stayed here for 3 nights. The property is ideally located close to everything you need but slightly removed in a quiet neighbourhood. One of the bedroom doors was slightly difficult to open due to it catching on the carpet and there was only one bin in the entire property (in the kitchen) and would recommend having an additional bin in the bathroom for tissues, etc. Overall a lovely and relaxing stay! "

"It was our first time staying at Hanmer Springs and Daniel's home was the perfect spot to roost. It was near the walking trails and a short drive or a very nice leisurely long walk into town.
