"The hosts were excellent - very welcoming and went the extra mile for our kids when they asked to pat the dog or for a hot chocolate at breakfast time. The five-o-clock wine time was a lovely chance to chat with other guests from around the world. Very convenient location. Only downside is that it's an older building so the noise from Christchurch's boy racers can be irritating at night. A minor problem. We would definitely stay again."

"Beautiful property and very friendly owners. The room and common areas were spacious and private. The grounds are well kept, and the house is about to undergo maintenance which should polish it up - not that it needs much. Breakfast was sensational - big serves and really high quality. The owner was very friendly offering site seeing advice when asked, and helping me make a doctors appointment when I got ill (nothing to do with them). Beautiful, I'll go back for sure."

"Spacious and well appointed rooms - the washer and dryer in the room was a huge bonus! The hotel is very well located to the centre of Christchurch, near shopping, restaurants and bars. The reception staff could’ve been more friendly, on checking out they didn’t ask how our stay had been and kept conversation to a minimum. I messaged requesting parking months before our stay and never heard back. Thankfully there was space when we arrived. Overall though, a very nice hotel and felt like good...
