"We had a great time during out 3 night stay at The Esplanade, it is a beautiful building with lots of choice as far as spending time in the bars, restaurants or poolside. The room was stock standard, nothing over the top special, but the bed was very comfortable, it was very roomy. I liked the option to not have the room serviced in exchange for a credit on stay, what a great incentive and makes perfect sense. The bathroom shower floor looked like it needed a good scrub but other than that...

"Lovely hotel maybe getting to the stage where the rooms and bars restaurants require refurbishment. We had a great time with the exception of the pool bar area. It was quite busy with only 2 staff on there taking food and drinks orders. At the happy hour there was a choice of 2 cocktails but 1 wasn’t available so why advertise it but my main gripe was the stroppy barman. He snapped all the time even when asked something politely. Just wasn’t necessary as I said it was busy and they were worked...
