"This is perfect for a couple. We did see a bball hoop, horseshoe pit and volleyball net. Wish we knew we would have had some extra fun. There was a firepit but didnt know how to work it which sucked but overall recommend."

"The Rustic Rook Resort is a fabulous new addition to the Yurt/Bin wave of alternative to hotel stays. It is just a few miles from the Great Sand Dunes National Park that is simply awe inspiring and has fabulous sledding on the Dunes for the entire family. Excellent dining is about 20 minutes away in downtown Alamosa. The stars at night are incredible. We stayed in a Bin, which was less rustic than the name would imply. "This is our 4th summer in Vallecito. We have stayed in Blue Spruce RV Park (full hookups) and Middle Mountain campground (no hookups). Renting this space was a PERFECT option for us because we had much more room than we would have at the RV Park with the added benefit of full hookups! Having access to the gazebo and the front lawn gave us plenty of space to relax! We will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend for anyone with an RV traveling to the area."

"We had a great time during our visit. There are nearby lakes and trails to enjoy. There were lots of people there, so if you're looking to be away from people this place may not be a good choice. Our neighbors were super friendly, so we didn't mind it to much. The tents are a lot closer than I thought when I booked. We could here everything going on in the tent next to ours. "The lot was amazing! The aspen fall colors were so beautiful and there was alot of wildlife. It was one of the most relaxing getaways we have been on. The owners were so accommodating and were genuinely wonderful people. Having the lodge close was also nice to get a drink or to have dinner or lunch. We will definitely be back next year!!"
