Private Mountain Cabin w/ Hot Tub + Forest Views

Summary:
This inviting cabin with hot tub is tucked away in the mountains just off beautiful Hwy 67 between Divide and Cripple Creek in the western foothills of Pikes Peak. The perfect place for your mountain retreat, you can enjoy a hot tub soak or a book on the deck without seeing another house from the property, but at the same time it's nestled in a quiet, established rural neighborhood. With easy access to trails and wilderness and a quick drive to restaurants, groceries and shops, Hunter's Ridge cabin is a honeymooner's or family get-away dream.

The Space:
There's a living area upstairs and a family room with television and foosball table downstairs, so the kids can watch a movie or play downstairs while you relax by the fire with a glass of wine upstairs. Stay in for a shared meal on the deck or take advantage of the plentiful options for hiking, fishing, boating, horseback riding, history, and other adventures all in close proximity to Hunter’s Ridge.
+Summit Pikes Peak on foot from the Crag's Trailhead
*Summit Pikes Peak by car via the Pikes Peak Highway 20 min
*Try your luck at the casinos in the famous mining town Cripple Creek -- 10 minutes
* groceries and gas , to the south and the small town of Divide, CO is 10 minutes away to the north. Cripple Creek is known for gold mine tours, and casinos and has a variety of food options and services. Divide has the nearest post office, Irish pub, burger joint, craft brewery, gas stations, and a small grocer. Woodland Park which is larger sits about 20 minutes away from Divide and includes a Walmart and more services and restaurants. Colorado Springs is about 40 minutes away. Please message us with any questions as you plan your stay and we'll be happy to make suggestions to match your interests. Open floor plan boasts a fresh, clean kitchen with eat-in counter, dining table and living room. It is the perfect space for dining and relaxing after a long day of adventuring. Turn up the romance with the gas fireplace as you sip your morning coffee or evening cocktails. Grill and chill on the deck with views of Pikes Peak and aspens, fir, and pine trees. Come in the fall to view the stunning changing aspen leaves. On chilly or snowy nights, head downstairs for a round of foosball or a movie, and walk out to the outdoor hot tub on the patio. There's nothing to be compared with a soak in the hot tub while snow falls around you! The downstairs also features a family room with television and a pull out sofa bed as well as the second bedroom.

Guest Access:
You have access to the entire home and grounds. There is parking in the driveway in front of the house.

Check in is at 5pm and check out is by 10am. We do our best to accommodate early check in and/or late check out request. We offer these based upon our housekeeping team’s approval as their schedule can be demanding and for an additional fee. Please note, the earliest check in time available is 2pm and the latest check out time we can accommodate is noon.

The Neighborhood:
The cabin is located south of HWY 24 by about 10 minutes, literally on the slope of Pikes Peak and right next to Mueller State Park. Cripple Creek is only 20 minutes away. You are in the mountains so you will see wildlife. You may experience interrupted cell reception, so please record directions and all other information you need for your stay in advance. Wifi is available at the cabin and most guests have found it to be reliable although like anywhere bandwidth and connection reliability can vary from time to time.

Getting Around:
There are few public transportation options in the area. The cabin is in a neighborhood with dirt roads which are generally well maintained throughout the year. If you are traveling when significant snow is possible (between September and May) please be advised that depending your experience driving in winter weather, a Four Wheel Drive vehicle may be a good idea. Make sure you have the contact information for your AAA membership or insurance provider if you think you may need support.

The home is located about an hour drive from the Colorado Springs Airport and about 2 hours from the Denver Airport.

Other Things to Note:
+ Sleep in peace on our super soft linens which were laundered in a professional facility to ensure the highest possible amount of viruses and bacteria are utterly destroyed.

+ We reserve the right to collect ID directly from our guests before allowing access to the property. This is in addition to identification you may be asked to provide to the booking platform.

+ This is bear country. Please do not leave any food outdoors or in your car. The garbage bin is located in the shed near the house. Please make sure you put trash in the bear proof bin and secure the lid. As much as possible, please keep any food trash or strong smelling trash inside the cabin until trash collection or your departure.

+ Mail service in the Divide will not deliver packages directly to the house. Mail can be sent to general delivery at the Divide Post Office.

+ No smoking or vaping of any kind is permitted inside the house. Outdoor smoking is permitted and we do not scrutinize what you smoke outside as long as you do it in keeping with house rules and local burn restrictions.

+ No parties, and please observe quiet hours outdoors after 10pm. Hunter's Ridge is in a quiet mountain neighborhood with full-time residents and neighbors will report loud or unsafe partying to the authorities.

+ Photo ID required for all reservations. Minimum age to rent this property is 25.

+ Our team sets out linens appropriate to the number of people on your reservation so please make sure your reservation accurately reflects the number in your party. Be aware that we charge a $30/night fee for additional guests after 4.

+ The Rainbow Valley neighborhood is situated on an accessible but mountainous part of Pikes Peak where there is no municipal water supply. Thus we do pay for a truck to fill our cistern and for this reason we do ask our guests to kindly use water wisely and conservatively. The cistern holds several hundred gallons and is refilled regularly so running out of water is not a concern.

Interaction with Guests:
I love helping guests make the most of their time in our beautiful area but I give my guests their space unless I'm asked to help out. I will be available throughout your stay and love to give advice on local restaurants, attractions, and adventures.

Cozy and secluded
Property was awesome. In an area with a bunch of steep hills this house was easy to get to. Views were beautiful and the house was very clean. The area was very remote, closest small town was 15 minutes away with a small grocery store and a couple restaurants.

Mountain GetAway
We stayed two week nights to get away from work and stress. This cabin is easy to get to and close to amazing trails. We wanted a peaceful place close enough to eat out or see something new. This property is perfect. Even though there are other homes nearby, the cabin feels secluded. We used the hot tub at all times, and we had complete privacy. We spent time relaxing on the deck in the mornings. The cabin is well-appointed and well-cared for. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. We would definitely stay here again.

Beware of extra fee and water usage
Stay Colorado charges additional $50 fee that is not obvious during booking. Water is stored in underground tank, which is delivered by water truck. Frequent noise from the water pump after you turn on faucet. Kitchen is minimally equipped. There's no dish washer. Most cupboards are empty.

My Bestie and I chose this place to spend just a little over a week for our getaway . It’s a very nice place, sitting out in the deck was so peaceful, especially at night when all the stars were out. Owners were very kind, very fast to respond and very helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Perfect Weekend Getaway!
I booked this place for a surprise birthday weekend getaway for my fiancé and it did not disappoint! We went during the winter and drove in during a snowstorm; the quiet road the property is located on was freshly plowed including the drive up to the parking area. Easy access and no traction issues at all. The scenery is beautiful with wildlife all around. The cabin itself is newly updated and stocked for all your cooking needs. Very clean and well maintained. Owners are super responsive and able to help with anything you need. One of those places we can’t wait to book again! Thank you for a great weekend!

Wonderful Stay!
We really enjoyed our visit here. The cabin is so nice and the views are amazing. The location is peaceful but yet not too far from restaurants and supplies. Owners were very quick to response when we had questions. They even recommended a local bakery to get a cake for my husband’s birthday. Wonderful trip!!!

Highly recommend!
My husband and I stayed in the cabin while celebrating our 10 years together. We felt we couldn’t have chosen a better cabin or location to meet our needs. It’s definitely off the beaten path, very quiet but, still close enough to all of the attractions and amenities. The cabin itself was very comfortable, clean, and homey. The pictures really don’t even do it justice. The cabin owners were easy to get in touch with, very responsive, and very helpful! We would most definitely stay here again in the future!

Family Bonding
We called this beautiful, peaceful spot on the Western Slope home for a week while visiting the CO Springs area. The hot tub was very enjoyable! Our family, including a tween and a teen, made lots of memories this week! A couple things to bear in mind: At the time of booking, the listing showed a dishwasher. There is not one on this property. We also had planned for the children to be downstairs, but the pull-out couch that is functional is actually upstairs. Just good to know if you have similar plans! A few days before we checked in, we received notice about the downstairs couch as well as that the water was trucked in and to use it wisely. We did not experience any disruption, but I do feel like that should be something that is transparent in the listing from the get-go (rather than after cancellation time frames have elapsed). There is a bluray player that has the possibility for Netflix/Prime TV watching, but we struggled to have enough bandwidth to load anything. This is minor, especially if you are disconnecting anyway! We played a super-fun, tech-free game called Hit List which provided lots of entertainment without screens. Overall, we had a very enjoyable time in this rental. Our communication with Stay Colorado was timely and helpful in making our stay enjoyable. We hiked in Mueller State Park, climbed the Manitou Incline, took a Rocky Mountain food tour, rode the Cog Railway train, toured Glen Eyrie and the Pioneer Museum, saw the Florissant fossils, shopped, ate delicious food and enjoyed some local brews. There are plenty of attractions in this area for an excellent getaway!
