It gets the job done.
The house was the perfect size and the location was excellent for our stay. The only problems were the cleanliness of the house and the lack of kitchen equipment for a home that size. We found several pieces of trash and the gas grill was not usable due to the cleanliness. Trying to prepare food for a large group with little to no pots and pans was a challenge. We still had a wonderful time making memories as a group

Peaceful off-grid retreat
Gathered up there with my family of 14, peaceful and lovely area. House was not very equipped for that many guests, although the property description says so. We purchased and left a blender there, not enough silverware, mugs, basic supplies. pool table was broken, darts were all broken, wifi was spotty at best. Table on porch but no chairs, realized table was set there to cover broken board on porch. House doesn't look as it did when pictures were taken. Needs some serious TLC. I would go back, with a smaller group.

Getaway reunion
The place was very clean and efficient. 10 of us stayed and had plenty of water and electricity. There is a washer/dryer that is very quiet as well. There is a grocery store within 30 minutes that had everything we needed. Beautiful views and endless memories were made. Highly recommend.

Great stay!
After booking this stay 7-8 months in advance and then some of the bad reviews coming in we were a little nervous about going and it being a disaster. But it was great! The location is beautiful on a mountain. We never had any electricity or water issues and we got 24+ inches of snow in 24 hrs. So under those extreme conditions and still not having any issues is a win! The owners contacted us the day we arrived and gave us their number if we had any issues at all to call them. Easy check in and check out! We had 6 adults and 5 kids and had a great time here! Would go back!

Great Getaway
Our stay at the cabin was awesome. We got off to a rough start when we showed up, there was no power at the cabin. I got in touch with the host and after a little failed troubleshooting, they sent their maintenance guy and he got it taken care of. (It was a solar panel/generator issue). After that the rest of our stay was amazing.

It was wonderful, but certain things need to be clarified before renting.
This property was beautiful but certain things were not clarified to people who are not use to living of grid. We spent the first 2 days and the last two days with out water. We were lucky to figure out the electric situation with the solar panels.

The ad is very misleading- the cabin is off grid so you have glithches with that- They are still having water issues- went 2 days without. Beds are bad. Mattress comfort may be subjective but when you are feeling the springs its time for a new mattress. Host was not helpful at all. Lied to us about internet outage. Just one problem after another. We would have left early if we could have. Please do not book this cabin until they put up an honest ad and fix all their issues. DONT WALK, RUN AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY!!!

Needs lots of work.
My family gathered here to celebrate my inlaws 60th wedding anniversary. The house fit our needs in size and sleeping capacity. We had a great time! That being said there were a lot of issues: The house is very rundown with multiple items that were broken. The was a broken dining room chair (missing cross bar and unsafe to sit in) and the arm of the one living room chair came off in m;y sisters hand, a broken shelf in the refrigerator door and would not hold anything with weight, the screen in one bedroom was ripped halfway up, 1 kitchen drawer wasn't usable and was broken and another only opened up 1/2 way, there were huge cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling and lights, one of the lights in the bathroom was burned out, unable to turn on ceiling fan, the pool table would not release the balls and so couldn't be used, the towels were old and very stiff, the dishes in the cupboards were thrown in haphazardly and some were dirty (my sister organized them ) no towel racks in the bathroom upstairs, the instructions for the house were scribbled on a sheet that looked like it had gone through a rainstorm and was not welcoming in the least, the outside surfaces were all peeling paint and there were no outside chairs to enjoy the great view. We also found mouse turds on the sink in the morning. Overall just a very sad house that needs lots of TLC. When I called the owner she said she hadn't been there for awhile which was obvious. What we got wasn't worth what we paid.

This was a very unpleasant vacation. My family has never been to Colorado and we were all very excited to enjoy our 7 night stay. This place is a waste of money. The beds are in terrible shape… they have books and boards holding them up. The mattresses are worn out to where you can feel the springs. The projector is trash. Can’t even enjoy a movie. The couch in the living room is old. Isn’t even clean. There’s nothing to do around… don’t let the pictures fool you. If you have reserved it already be prepared… the owner DOES NOT RESPOND to your texts or calls. The stove wasn’t working and we never heard back from the owner. We checked out before our time! If you have booked this place and you can get your refund…. DO IT! this place is not worth your money.

Do NOT Stay Here!
What was supposed to be a vacation ended up not being much of a stress free vacation due to barely having power or water. We didnt have power for the first night starting around 2 AM and flicked on and off about 8 times, waking all of us up, until about 9 AM when we also found out there was no water. I did get ahold of the host but I had to go hunt for a key to turn on the outside generator. I constantly had to go out to the generator to turn it on just to get enough water and electricity for us to shower. The next night we also ran out of electricity. We lost hundreds of dollars in meat and had an injury and medical bills due to the power being out. As well as we also had someone who depends on CPAP machine who didnt get much sleep due to this. And the generator had an alert saying Maintenance Overdue. Not worth it, at all. Worst vacation for my whole family. There was also a total of 8 body towels when rated for 14. The fridge also was regularly at 68°, which meant we lost lots of groceries. When we arrived there all the plates in the cabinets were still dirty! Worst rental experience.

Pretty but with some issues
The place was big enough for our 10 and the location is pretty and the stars were amazing. We did have some issues some minor and some frustrating. 1 The upstairs (especially the loft ) was very hot to sleep in. We had every fan going we could find and still had to sleep without covers, which is difficult when you are used to them. 2. We ran out of water. While the host did respond quickly the next morning it would have been nice to have known it may be an issue and instructions given on how to get access to the backup water before we had to skip showers and use the outside for toilets during the night. 3. The Wi-Fi I instructions in the letter are wrong but we eventually found a paper with them. 4. There is a broken board on the stairs 5 The requirements to clean were included sweeping the floors and we left it so clean I am not sure why we had to pay such a high cleaning fee. . 6 The trails that are mentioned seem to be roads that quickly lead to no trespassing signs. I think we would have enjoyed this more in the fall when the upstairs area was not so hot.

Disappointed - Not returning.
I don’t remember ever complaining about accommodations. This one was very disappointing. Our biggest complaint is the condition of the beds and mattresses. The mattresses were so thin, worn out and decades old. We had 4 of the adults in our party that had to sleep on air mattresses because of the bad condition of the beds. Our next major complaint is the lack of supplies at the cabin. No trash bags, many lights bulbs were out, provided only 7 small bath towels for a party of 10. No dish towels. One roll of paper towels. There was a small baggie of laundry soap... not even enough for one load. No bath mat, slippery floor. Horrible sewer smell outside the cabin. The internet information that was provided was not accurate. We called the owner and left a VM. We later found corrected internet information on the kitchen counter. However, we were unable to get the wi-fi to connect or when connected, it did not work. We never heard back from the owner. The cabin definitely needs a LOT of maintenance that has been left undone for some time. When paying so much money for accommodations, we shouldn’t have to provide our own air mattresses and supplies.

I will start with the positive. The property looks like the photos provided. The game room was a plus. The roads are too be expected in the mountains in this area. They were not bad. The wifi worked. The opportunities; the cabin is off grid which is not in the description. So if you had more than two lights on the generator kicked on. The noise, well let’s just say it’s loud. There was only one working TV in the house, the projector was missing the power cord. So if you want to watch TV bring an iPad none of the rooms have a TV. There is a 20 degree difference on all levels of the house. So sleeping on the top floor is hot. And there is no air. There is a random extr fridge that the owner says can be used for an extra charge? Bring supplies. There were no trash bags or dish soap. I have never stayed a property where a basic is not provided. There are also 3 trailers and another cabin on the property or close to the cabin. I guess assuming we wouldn’t have neighbors…🤷‍♀️. Last but not least the state of the property and the construction. There were boards and random materials all around the side and the back of the house. I connected with the property manager a few times. It takes them time to get back to you. I will say we have stayed in this area multiple times and this is by far not the best experience we have had. The cleaning list was fine. But not everyone is going to go buy trash bags and dish soap to get it done. It takes an hour to get to a store. And please ask your cleaning person to wash the comforters. The ones upstairs were in bad shape.

Worst vacation rental we've ever had
Run away from this rental. The cleaning crew didn't show up prior to our arrival and the previous renters had been in the home for about a month. We immediately contacted the home owner who, at that moment, didn't seem to care a whole lot. We spent the first two days of our family vacation cleaning this house and washing linens and towels so we could finally have a clean place to sleep and a shower. We get it, stuff happens, and the owner did refund us two days of our rental and the cleaning fee which was nice. It just went downhill from the moment we walked in. We spent an entire afternoon cleaning up trash on the property, I pulled a large band-aid off the front of the couch only to discover it was covering up a whole bunch of protruding staples, the basement walk-outs were pieces of plywood that were held up with cinder blocks, multiple loose and drooping boards on the deck, lots of broken floor tiles, our small kids found two pairs of ladies panties in the downstairs couch, the entire house reeked of animal urine, the animal hair was quite abundant, the pool table was broken, there is a large hole in the back yard that just has a piece of plywood thrown over it, broken windows, closet doors laying to the side, refrigerator stopped working and we finally got a replacement the day before we left, the beds are awful......the list goes on but you get the gist. We were quite incredulous of the filthiness and disrepair of this home, especially for the price. We've rental many, many homes from VRBO and were shocked that something like this was listed on their site. Evolve was absolutely useless with their satisfaction guarantee. We either had to stay in this home and deal with it, or return home and forfeit our large family vacation that took months to plan and coordinate. We were very disappointed in the misleading pictures in this listing.

Remote & Cozy Cabin
It fit the needs for our family well! We enjoyed watching the sun rise in the distant mountains in the east, and the sunset from the distant mountains to the west. Also enjoyed watching the many chipmunks and had deer come almost right up to the cabin Only drawback was 4 miles of rough gravel to get there. But overall, we had a very enjoyable time.

Very nice cabin, very clean and a good price. We had an issue with the internet, although the purpose of the trip was to connect with family and to get away and it was not a terribly big issue. Drove the hour to Elevenmile Lake and enjoyed a day there. No power issues or bed issues like we had read in previous reviews. One neighbor was unpleasant. The property is 4 acres but nothing marked; we walked to a rock formation within eyesight of the cabin for a few family pics and was confronted that we were on his private property. I informed him that we did not know but we were renting the cabin and was told it was 4 acres, he just sternly repeated it was his private property. We did not venture away from the cabin again. We were considering coming back to this cabin again but will not due to the neighbor.
