"I give this 4 stars and not 5 for only a single reason. The description is missing two key points of info. 1. This is a basement for rent and not a full house. People do live just up the stairs. 2. There is not a kitchen if you’re thinking of cooking. Only a mini fridge and a microwave with a small sink. That worked for me for my trip, but was unexpected when we arrived and could have been a planning issue. The owner was responsive and a great guy. Would recommend genuinely for a quiet stay. "

"We are a group of 13 from church ages from 8-75 which 4 couples travel by motorcycle. We enjoyed the area and the house was very nice. It was as listed on line, it was very clean. Had no problems whatsoever also communication was great before and during stay with host. Would go again if traveling to the area."

"The property is close to downtown yet in a nice quiet neighborhood. It was clean and stocked with everything you need and more. The bed was the most comfortable VBRO bed I've slept in so far. It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend staying at this lovely property. "

"Enjoyed our short trip to the Chimney Rock/Lake Lure area. Location was perfect and only 10 minutes from parks/trails. Property was very clean with many thoughtful guest amenities to make the stay comfortable and convenient. We really appreciated the many different spaces to relax and enjoy the mountain vibe. Communication was also excellent. One note is to try not to be startled by the falling acorns on the roof from the two large oak trees next to the home. Would definitely recommend this...

"Place was perfect for us-kayaks were a wonderful bonus-lake is clean and not crowded. House was spotless and had everything we needed. Roads are very winding-it takes a long time to get to other towns-if we lived in NC, hanging out at the house and lake would have just fine, but we also wanted to explore Asheville, Black Mountain etc. Such an amazing part of the country!"

"My girlfriend and I absolutely loved our stay at the downtown property. It exceeded our expectations.We enjoyed a quiet and relaxing weekend sitting outside on the upper and lower porch areas enjoying the nice cool weather. The hot tub was great at night with the cool weather and breeze. Everything about this house is amazing. We were sad of course that we had to leave. We will definitely be planning a return trip soon."

"Such a pleasant home and perfect for our two couples stay! Plenty of room, very clean, & very quiet! The glass screened porch was a nice place to enjoy coffee in the morning! Close to the wedding we were attending. Nicely decorated. Recommended!! The pictures do not do this house justice, we were very pleasantly surprised. "

"This review is a little delayed due to internet issues in the wake of Hurricane Helene. We Planned this trip for our 40th Anniversary as we love the area.
