It has numerous outdoor activities within 30 minutes if you enjoy hiking, canoe/kayaking, biking, fishing, etc. The cottage is within walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops. The town offers many great boutiques and antique stores.The cottage is a block from famous homes featured in the movies, Hope Floats and The Tree of Life. You can see the Hope Floats house from the porch! Come unwind and enjoy the small town life!

This gem is tucked away in a beautiful, peaceful neighborhood. The host is a great communicator and we felt like we were living our best life! Swimming in the private pool at sunset, every amenity and then some at our disposal and restful sleep. We enjoyed great proximity to museums, Austin and the cute town of Smithville. We wanted to get away for a last minute weekend before school started up again. This was a great little place for my wife and two kids age 8 and 6. We have never spent time in Smithville but we are so glad we did. We will be back not only to Smithville but to this little cottage.

Quick but Relaxing Stay

My daughter and I stayed on the property to be close by an event located in Bastrop. The neighborhood is quiet with several good restaurant options. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We are looking forward to returning soon!
