"To start off, we had a late arrival to the property; working with Stella at the front desk, she made our arrival seamless and easy (they do not have a 24 hour front desk). The location of the property could not be any more picturesque and the location to the town and local beach makes it feel like everything is right in your very own backyard. We will absolutely return if provided the opportunity. Thank you to the staff at Pontalaia Apartamentos!"

"This retreat place has its charm in winter as been quiet and pleasant. The property is spacious, clean and the staff is friendly. The breakfast option is convenient and the food is fresh. "

"Immaculately clean and well-equipped apartment, the perfect size for 2-4 people. Beach was a few steps away and lots of restaurants and small supermarket were within easy walking distance. We had a car to visit nearby towns, but free parking was readily available in the middle of Salema. My only recommendation would be for a table fan in the bedroom to keep the room cooler at night. "

"The pool was closed and has been for some time as they are rebuilding it. This was not advertised when booking nor was it communicated to us afterwards. Bike hire and meals also need to be arranged the day before , again this wasn't communicated to us when booking or when speaking to the reception on the phone prior to arriving. It's a lovely village but I think it's not ok to advertise facilities that aren't available as this was a big reason why we chose it. I would definitely go again though...

"4 of us stayed for a week in October 2024. The place fit our needs perfectly. It was clean. The bedrooms & bathrooms were modern and nice. The view from the unit was amazing. It's very close to the beach and some very good restaurants. We enjoyed staying in Salema which is much quieter than bigger towns nearby. The location allowed us to do day trips all along the Algarve coast. Hikes along the coast had beautiful scenery and we saw some fantastic sunsets. It was very nice to have parking right...

"Thirteen friends on a early summer holiday to Portugal, what an experience. The villa is situated in the heart of Budens, easily accessible from Faro airport (<1 hour drive). There are many lovely beaches on the south and west coast, and Lagos or Sagres are no more than 20onutes drive away. We had some great hikes, runs, beach days, pool days and BBQs and would recommend the villa to anyone. The hosts were fantastic, timely in replying and had some great food recommendations. "House is fine and as advertised. Close to beach. Did not have hot water for first 3 or 4 days. Property owner seems nice and very responsive. The bad new is that a large dog is 75 meters away and he literally barks all night long. Don't know how he can manage it ! I needed ear plugs and white noise music to sleep."

"We had a great week in Comporta. The house is new, with lots of room for the whole family. A short walk to the beach, with a few great local restaurants. Francisco was a great host, who gave us suggestions for the area and was available for any problems."

"The hotel is opposite a beautiful beach with a gorgeous outlook from the restaurant. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We had the buffet dinner and breakfast both of which were very good quality and offered a wide choice with excellent value for money. We will definitely stay again"

Lovely villa with beach nearby

"It was our second time staying here. This time we decided to bring the whole family including 2 grandchildren under 5 yrs old. as before, the villa was very clean, comfortable and well equipped with high chair, cot and stairgate. Staff are excellent, especially David. They even did cleaning and changing sheets on Xmas Day! The location is amazing with beach nearby."
