Bar food was good but im not sure the eaton mess was worth the money, a small glass filled with cream and some small pieces of meringue topped with 1 strawberry...could do better. "It is a very nice place to stay, quiet and relaxing. The breakfast is second to none and there is plenty of parking. Close to the M6. Bed was very comfortable. The only thing i have some criticism is that the TV is way too small. You had to sit on the end of the bed to watch it. WiFi reception was very hit and miss, but propably accepted due the location of the property."

"I arrived after a rather heart-stopping journey through Storm Darragh. And as I was checking in the power went off. There were a few refugees from the storm and staff who couldn't get home after their shift. The kitchen was in darkness and powerless so no food available but the bar did stay open! The staff were cheerful and helpful finding a duvet to wrap up a chilly lady. True community spirit at it's best!"
