"There’s a lot of religious signs up in the house and also political brochures. I’m trying to get away to relax, not to be told of how much I need god in my life. "

"Wonderful host! Beautiful campsite! Clean Port-a-potty, with 2-ply toilet tissue! Awning over a picnic table for a nice dinner, there's a grill, fire ring, wood supplied and chairs. We camped at "Big D's Pond", one of his two camping sites. The only drawback is that there's no place to wash/clean up. "Hippie baths" All in all, you will not be disappointed!"

It does not sleep 6. There is only a full bed and a king bed. Even the chairs in the living room are only 5 (no couch), and the dining room table only has 4, so how is it supposed to sleep 6? "For a trip for two in the middle of winter this was the perfect cozy getaway made all the better by the amenities and hosts who are phenomenally responsive and thoughtful. We plan on going back soon to enjoy this again."

"Booked a cabin last minute during a snow storm for me and my two Border Collies. The owner actually called me to make sure that I knew it was a camping cabin - which I thought was super nice. He brought down a second heater in case the first one didn’t warm the cabin up enough. It was a camping cabin so rustic. "We made a quick impromptu trip to Deep Creek for the first time for my wife’s birthday. Check in was super easy, and Patricia was great about staying in contact with us. Location is right on the main road and there is a pizza/Italian place right down the hill that you can walk to. We ate there our first night. We had a great short trip and the accommodations were just what we needed for a family of four. "

"We booked as soon as we saw the forecast for 12 inches of snow. Easy reservation process, simple check-in, and the property and parking area were well-kept. Definitely needed 4WD to get up the hill. Loved the wood fireplace!"

Great place! Perfect after train ride!

"This is our second year staying here in order to go on the Christmas train ride. It has always been clean and staff are friendly. The only issue we had this year was our tv went out and we called the front desk, they said to wiggle the cables etc and the internet may be not working. We tried all that, but it didnt work. We just decided to head to bed early. Other than that fluke, everything was wonderful. Small breakfast, with just enough options for kids and adults. We will stay here again no doubt. "

"Would have gotten almost all 5 stars if they had taken the time to plow or shovel the parking lot as people left. Had to walk through 4 - 6 inches of snow to get in and out of the car with my stuff. That's hard for a 67 year old woman with arthritis. Staff was especially helpful once inside. Very pleasant which is why I chose to stay there on my return trip home. Will stay there again. "
