"We were driving from Bordeaux to Frankfurt and chose this hotel from Expedia’s site on a Friday because it had onsite parking and a restaurant. After checking in the receptionist told us (a) the hotel’s parking area was not safe so we should not leave any bags in the car and (b) the restaurant was closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday ! We couldn’t get a refund but we found another hotel a few kms away with a secure parking lot and two restaurants, so we relocated. "

"We were only at Hotel Saint Jean one night but it was lovely. Although there were some improvements underway it was clean and nothing was in our way. Soon realised it was smoke, all the linen stank of it, especially the blankets and towels. It was impregnated into everything.
