"Stayed for one night with a friend. Staff were welcoming at reception. We arrived too early to check in but they were able to look after our luggage whilst we wandered up to Cabot Circus. Room was clean and quiet. Bed was so comfortable and the shower was lovely and hot. Breakfast was fresh and plenty of choice. All in all a lovely stay and would certainly go back. Location perfect for shopping and bars/restaurants"

"One of the most stunning settings for a hotel - the most gorgeous view of Clifton Suspension Bridge, lovely selection of rooms, and excellent restaurant for breakfast and dinner, as well as a choice of two bars. The location is fabulous for Clifton Village, and walkable to other parts of Bristol. Staff did their best to help even though there seemed to be some staff shortages when I was staying. There is a great eco-friendly scheme if you are staying for more than one night, where you can choose to have a drink voucher instead of having housekeeping for however many of the nights you want. Overall a wonderful stay, and I would love to come back. "

"I travel to Bristol for work at the uni quite often, and so I’ve tried a few different hotels around Clifton. The Washington is my favourite to stay in — always low noise, always friendly staff, always comfy and clean beds. The building is a little worn down, inside and out, but if you’re looking for a consistently good, lower cost hotel to stay for a few days, this is the place."

"Parking was fast and easy, multi storey car park right next to the hotel free of charge for hotel residents. Hotel is very centrally located, everything within walking distance. Hotel was nice and clean. Breakfast was very good, plenty of selection both continental and full hot english breakfast."
