"We had the most fantastic stay at Dorjes, it felt like dropping into the absolute lap of luxury after being in Kathmandu. The staff were incredibly helpful (big thank-you again to whoever picked up my suitcase from the airport after the airline lost it & it arrived a day after we did!). They had some great tips for what to do in the surrounding area and were superbly responsive over Whatsapp, we were extremely well looked after. The place was immaculately clean, beautifully landscaped and designed, and the room was one of the nicest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. We enjoyed sitting in the jacuzzi at sunset and taking in the views of the lake from our balcony. The breakfast spread was generous and the food was fairly decent for hotel food. Location-wise it's slightly outside of town (not easily walkable) but in exchange you get the mountain view down onto the lake, and it's very easy to get a short taxi there and back, we just ordered them on inDrive. It's conveniently right by the cable car station for an easy trip to Sarangkot - we loved seeing the incredible view of the whole mountain range from the top. We also paid extra to have some wonderful swedish massages, and made use of the spa. A great way to relax after a morning of hiking. Basically for us Dorjes was 10/10 and well worth the money. "Loved Temple Tree. Such lovely and helpful staff. Property was very pretty—nice pool and even a hot jacuzzi. Rooms were great, breakfast spread very nice. Well located right next to the lake and an easy walk into the heart of “downtown.” Really enjoyed our stay there."
