"There was one downside of this place - the creeping service fees which are not declared on the Vrbo profile. The website announces that bedding is provided, but then the owner writes to you to ask for €10 per person for sheets and towels. On arrival, you are told to use a screwdriver to clean the shower drains of hair before you leave. Then on departure, with minutes to spare, you are told to clean the whole place yourself or pay another €50. It’s not unusual to ask for a cleaning fee, but...

"Just returned from a lovely stay in Mouries, Provence. Rudy the owner was extremely helpful on arrival recommending some super places for us to visit. The air-conditioning was extremely welcome in the current heatwave we've been experiencing. A great boulangerie/patisserie 2 minutes on foot down the road (one of several in the town!) . Great base for our trips out to visit the region. The garden was particularly lovely to sit out in - beautifully maintained."

"This is in a lovely setting and near St. Remy. We enjoyed the garden. However, the listing is incorrect by stating there are three toilets, one in each shower room and a half bath. There is only one toilet in the hallway between the bedrooms. We probably would not have booked this for 4 adults with only one toilet to share if we had known that."

"We really enjoyed our stay in this special place. Close to Saint Remy and ideally located to discover the Provence. We loved the setting, the privacy and identity of this unique hideaway. The accommodation was super clean and was well equiped. Where it could improve is the provision of drinking water and the interior design to create a more homely and generous feel. "We loved our 10 days stay in this great villa with stunning pool. It was very hot but the villa was lovely and cool and the pool, which was very clean, made the heat more bearable. Betty was really welcoming and helped us settle into the villa and gave lots of useful recommendations in the local area. Loved St Remy de Provence with many great restaurants and bars just a 15 minute walk down the road. The market on the Wednesday was great and we enjoyed the French style and culture in the area....

"This week was more than we had hoped for. The "Cottage" name suggested it might be small, but everything about it was perfect sized: the bedroom, the closets, the kitchen, the living room, and the magnificent bath room. Clean, well appointed, comfortable, accessible, and most of all, we felt like we were home. Our hosts were available and extremely helpful, and most of all, so nice and kind in every possible way. Gorgeous property great location

"This was a beautiful 5 star hotel. The property is gorgeous. The room is small but lovely- nice bathroom and bathtub. We had a fantastic dinner at the gourmet restaurant. Outstanding. The server was lovely. We took their shuttle into town and that was great. Got to the market and did some shopping. Concierge super helpful also. My only comment is I did not like their pillows! Please get some down pillows for those of us who feel every lump and bump. Otherwise it was a fantastic stay. The spa and indoor pool looked great but we had a very short stay. I would recommend this property highly. "

"This is a delicious and well-run property with a long history. Everything was perfect..almost. Our suite was very comfortable, but it was VERY dark inside. It was long and the only natural light is from the door (glass). That was our main criticism. The only other little quibble is there was absolutely nowhere to hang our sumptuous robes, and so the cleaning crew (and it WAS a crew) took to hanging them on the shower door or folded (wet) by the tub."
