"It was an intriguing building. Rooms well furnished and heated. The staff were very helpful and friendly. BUT not a suitable place for elderly or those with mobility problems. An outside flight of stairs, which could be slippery in wet weather, led to first floor and then more internal steep stairs our room. There were no grab rails in the shower. "I loved this hotel. Its quirky, but in a lovely way. And i was lucky to be upgraded, so i had a suite with a separate shower room and a roll top bath. The selection of wines/drinks/snacks in the room were of good quality, and whilst i did not consume, due to work commitments, i would in the future. The restaurant attached served lovely, locally sourced food at a reasonable price. And the location of the hotel meant you were walking distance into town, and 20 minutes walk from the train...

"Citrus is a budget hotel and as such offers exceedingly good value for money considering its position slap bang in the middle of Cheltenham. The room was clean, warm, the bed comfortable with tea-making, large TV and room safe. The self serve continental breakfast was just £5 for both of us but very comprehensive. Car parking was secure at an extra £10 for 24 hours. The only thing that let it down was the shower which in our room (210) was virtually unusable as flow was poor and very slippery...

"Stayed in the balcony room, was absolutely fantastic, so spacious and comfortable, had a mini kitchen with microwave and all equipment you could need for a short stay. Excellent location to walk to shops and restaurants. Parking available outside, approx £4 for 2 hours, but from 6pm - 8am it is free, we got up at 8am to put a ticket on just in time before the Traffic Warden arrived so be aware of this. Only issue we had was that you are unable to control the heating in any way. Room was cold...
