This is probably the worst valued hotel I have ever stayed in. I was in Drumheller over the weekend to celebrate my nieces engagement, and I was with my wife and young son. Even though the Ramada was twice the price of any of the other hotels in Drumheller, I chose it, because it had a pool with a waterslide, breakfast, and we wanted a separate bedroom. First thing we're told is that the pool was out of commission, which greatly disappointed my son, who couldn't stop talking about it on the way there. Discount on room? nope. Secondly, we turn on the TV, and it won't work. Turns out it was unplugged. EVERYTHING IN THE ROOM WAS UNPLUGGED. Lights, TV, clock, everything. Who does that?? Then the toilet paper in the bathroom was the cheapest single ply toilet paper I've ever seen. I've seen better toilet paper in a roadside gas station in Mexico. $300/night for single ply paper? Then, the toilet is plugged. Clearly not from the cheap toilet paper. I call the front desk, and it rings and rings and rings and rings. In fact, I put the phone down and let it ring for over 30 minutes. I finally had to track down a housekeeper and ask for a plunger. $300/night, and I'm plunging my own toilet. WHAT THE HELL WAS I PAYING FOR?????

Booked this hotel because of the pool and hot tub. Was super disappointed when we checked in and went to the pool to find out it was closed. There was no notice online or when we came to check in that it was closed. No staff at the front desk even mentioned it. Only found out after we checked out we could have used the pool across the parking lot. Otherwise the room was pretty clean, a little outdated but the bed was comfy.

Rooms are old. Need updating. Fire place could go and it would allow more room and let the tv be lowered. Also get a large screen in the room. Coach was too slippery could not get comfortable on it…..

The hot tub had a very nice temperature to it when you walked into it , enjoyed the breakfast as there was great selections , the beds were comfortable and the room was nice , the staff were so friendly and very welcoming to me and my family when we arrived there . I will definitely stay there next time I’m back in Drumheller. Easy access to tourist attractions as well and right off Highway 9.

Not a bad place to stay. The place was clean the carpets were dated and stained, felt like I should not take my shoes off. The staff were friendly except for one breakfast attendant, she did not want to cook more eggs because we came down for breakfast at 9:45.

Booked 2 Queen rooms for 6 people online with Expedia. Arrived at 7 pm and reception desk staff member could not find find the reservation. She asked several times if we were at the right hotel , then asked if we had booked the correct night , then repeated the same questions, until I was able to show my confirmed booking with Expedia. Then, she said that Expedia had cancelled the reservation because I had booked with the option to pay on-site, at the hotel. Another staff member attempted to help us , but the first staff member shushed her and refused her help. The first staff member then informed us that we could book another 2 rooms, albeit at a higher rate, as the only 2 rooms available had 3 beds . We booked the rooms. I contacted Expedia, as I could still see the booking online , and Expedia confirmed that the booking had been made and was still valid. We travel frequently with Expedia and have never had a booking cancelled before. I would recommend calling the hotel to check your booking as another staff member later mentioned that they had seen this same issue occur before , with lost bookings. Hotel has a pleasant pool, excellent hot tub and breakfast buffet with the regular options (sausage, eggs, bagels, yoghurt, etc), however it is quite run down (the tile floors were sticky, the carpets were saggy and had raised middle areas where the carpet had stretched over the years, and just a general air of disrepair ). Convenient location. Poor experience.

We paid a good price for our room (booked four) for two nights. It was meant to be a family holiday, with five kids under 10 the pool and water slide was the draw. When checking in we were informed that the water slide was in operable and May be fixed by Saturday, but that didn’t occur. We were not offered any form of discount for this, which given when this has happened to our family in the past at other chains. The next issue in my mind is the “green” initiative Canalta has instituted where they only straighten up the room every three days, which includes refilling the coffee pods, checking bathroom supplies, etc. At $375.00 a night per room I feel this initiative is a cop out that either we can’t find staff or we choose not to hire enough staff. I’m in total agreement about not changing beds or towels everyday but not to check on the supplies is ridiculous. The 8\11 sheet of paper telling patrons about this policy posted at one end of the checking counter and in the elevators is really poor advertising from my standpoint. The breakfasts were good the staff was friendly

They let us check in early which was awesome because we got to check drumheller out for the whole day. I also liked that we got a bottom floor room that had a outside access door, with a parking spot right outside. There’s tons of food options around, and it’s fairly close to all the attractions. The breakfast staff were making weird passive aggressive remarks at one another about one being sick and lying about it 😂. The first front desk lady was amazing when we checked in. For some reason my partners room key stopped working, on the morning of check out. she went to the desk to get them to reactivate it, she said the guy was rude and didn’t have good customer service skills, but then when i turned the key in the man was nice enough I thought, lol. So I don’t know, I’d stay again, not like there’s much interaction with hotel staff anyways. Nice spot.
