Yellowstone/Dubois Private Cabin on the Wind River

Private 14-acre small ranch located in the heart of Wyoming cowboy country. The cabin and acreage are located on the Wind River with exclusive private access to fly-fishing. Use the cabin as home-base to visit Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. There are beautiful views from every side of the cabin--enjoy the spectacular sunrises over the Badlands, and a sunset dropping into the Jackson Valley. There are two comfortable bedrooms and one bathroom with a full washer and dryer, perfect for a small family. There is a large screen TV with satellite television and Apple TV and wireless internet. Kitchen is fully equipped for even the most gourmet meals. Enjoy packing the picnic basket if you would like to have a picnic nearby.
The outside wrap-around deck allows for sunrise and sunset viewing, with the endless horizon and mountains as your view. Outdoor eating, Wine and Cheese, or coffee mornings are just some of the wonderful things to be enjoyed in the privacy of the grounds.
Horses and stables nearby, private barn for painting, writing, etc., (Just ask for access). The cabin is newly built, extremely clean, and very comfortable. Luxury linens and towels, and bathroom amenities provided. Check the reviews from our delighted guests!

Dubois is located in a valley between the Absaroka and Wind River mountain ranges. The rustic log buildings that line the main street look much as they did when the town was first settled in the late 1800's.

Native Americans, fur traders, homesteaders, outlaws, and tie hacks are all part of the area's diverse cultural heritage. Legendary outlaw Butch Cassidy even spent a fall and winter living near Dubois.

The area is home to the largest herd of bighorn sheep in the lower 48 states. Several thousand elk winter around Dubois, and watchful visitors can easily spot mule deer and moose.

A varied selection of special events is part of the Dubois experience. Beginning with Winterfest in February, there's something happening almost every month. Dubois' Headwaters Center is home to a national juried art show in July. Beginning in June, a family–oriented rodeo and a chuckwagon dinner are held weekly. The Sheep Center and Dubois Museum offer free weekly interpretive programs.

Many delightful restaurants, art shops, and breathtaking scenery abound.

Relaxing!
Really enjoyed the stay here. We loved the deck for morning coffee and evening cocktail with a tremendous view. Dubois is a cool litle town to explore and we easily spent a day at Jenny Lake. It was nice to come back to some elbow room and a quiet and scenic spot.

Relax and enjoy
Beautiful home and property. Perfect to sit back and relax. Enjoy the cool evening and beautiful views. Keep in mind it is a working ranch so going to visit the river for fishing a walk around the property may include a bit of sprinkler dodging but that made it even more fun and laughter with the kids. Property owners and managers very helpful and kind.

We had an amazing time at this property. It was very clean and spacious, had everything we needed to cook some dinners, and was in a great location. One of the nicest VRBOs we have stayed in, and we have booked many! Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful
This is just what my family and I needed. The home was small but perfect to fit our needs. My dogs loved the yard. Not too far from the actual town of Dubois but far enough to be remote. This place was everything we wanted and we will be back.

The location is nothing short of spectacular. Immaculate house in fantastic spot
We loved our time in Dubois. We hiked and fished and sat on the deck enjoying gorgeous sunsets. Even though the Wind River was high, my son and I managed to catch two large brown trout right on the property. Even though the house is small, the layout is so smart that it feels much larger. The outdoor space is great for kids to run around, explore and play. Highly recommend Dubois and this super cabin.

Home away from home!
We were very happy to call this cabin our home away from home for the second September in a row! This little cabin has everything you could possibly want or need for a fantastic stay! Julie is easy to work with, and the caretaker, Sally Hart, is wonderful! We would strongly recommend anyone looking for a great retreat,to check out this cabin. The location is wonderful, the views are magnificent, the wildlife is amazing. It's no wonder we left our hearts in Wyoming!

I can't recommend this place enough real nice property roomy everything you could need and more. About an hour from Grand Tetons but the scenery on the way makes it an easy drive. Again if your into this type of vacation don't hesitate on this place it's probably the nicest cabin we've ever stayed in.

Paradise inside and out!
What an amazing piece of paradise, both inside and out! When we arrived at this beautiful cabin, it exceeded all of our expectations. It is located on a little farm with mountains and hills on all sides. The many porches and lush yard were perfect for our family each evening. The cabin itself has everything one could ever need and then some. The kitchen is fully stocked; it even has a spice rack! The beds are comfortable, the bathroom spacious for a family of 4. Our kids loved their ‘bedroom’, and all the extra games and toys were an excellent addition. A wonderful couple greeted us upon arrival and were available if needed (we know they ended up missing us due to lack of a cell signal, but we appreciated their response to our one question). This property is paradise in Wyoming and an excellent place for someone to stay on a national park vacation. Clean, comfortable, beautiful! We already miss the amazing view out the kitchen window and our boys’ nightly football game on the lawn!

Perfect Family Vacation
The little home in Dubois was a wonderful vacation for our family. We have three children who enjoyed playing baseball and running around on the beautiful lawn surrounding the property which has a stunning backdrop of the mountain side. The house was meticulous and had everything you could possibly need to enjoy stay at home. It also had anything you would need to be adventurous and partake in the different activities around town. It was a short drive from Yellowstone and Teton National parks. We saw black bears, elks, moose, bison, golden eagles, turkey vultures and many different varieties of birds. We cannot strongly recommend this place enough. If you’re searching through reviews stop here and book this VBRO as soon as you can we promise you you won’t regret it.

Wish we didn't have to leave
We had a great time at this property. There are beautiful views and great access to area hikes and fly fishing opportunities. There is a couple hundred yards (give or take) of fishing access to the Wind River right on the property. The river was high and off color while we were there, but I still managed to pull in a few nice browns (all of which were were briefly admired and then quickly released back into their watery home). We'd have no problem staying here again.

Karen and Russ's Wonderful Dubois WY Vacation
The cabin at 54 Bald Mt was great. It was everything that we expected. Very comfortable and convenient to downtown Dubois, Jackson Hole, Grand Teton Nat'l Park and Yellowstone. And we took advantage of it all visiting the parks numerous times during our stay. Some of the highlights included seeing deer around the cabin and in the parks. It was a thrill to see bear on several ocassions at both parks and even a sow with her cub. The weather was cool but our Huskies loved it. We had a great time exploring the area around the cabin as well as the parks. They went everywhere with us. We also enjoyed horseback riding at Togwotee. It was fun fishing on the property and the Wind River was "raging." The Friday night rodeo was a blast and loved seeing all the kids participating. Although we were on the go all the time we had a really relaxing time. Dubois shops were fun going to and we brought home some neat items. A great feature of the cabin was a nice washer and dryer which help us navigate our stay. Sooo nice. Check in and check out was easy. And Sally Hart was great. Very helpful during our stay. We have visited Dubois before and our recent experience will certainly bring us back again. Thanks to all for a wonderful vacation. Karen and Russ...

Beautiful views and all the comforts of home.
Wonderful location, cabin was comfortable, clean, and incredibly well-stocked with kitchen items and many pantry supplies. In fact, this was the most-well stocked cabin we have ever rented. They have truly thought of everything to make their guests feel at home. The views are beautiful and the large deck was great for enjoying the scenery. Our dog Sadie loved the yard and watching the elk feed in the field in the evenings! Yellowstone and Tetons within a couple of hours drive was also great! We hope to visit Dubois and this cute, relaxing cabin again soon!

The VERY Best 5 days of all of our trips to the Western States.
From the first day of arrival until we sadly had to return to our home in Alabama, we felt we were at home . Great kitchen, bedrooms, T.V., deck, and views. Our daughter and grandson met us and had never seen the Tetons or Yellowstone and kept us busy on several day trips as well as Friday night Rodeo and fly fishing. Sally met us when we arrived and would stop by most days to see if we needed anything. Dubois and the Wind River region has friendly people and plenty to see and do. We plan to come again next summer. The Bells.
