"This is perfect for a weekend getaway alone or with someone you don't mind sharing a double bed with. Don't expect luxurious, it is simple, clean, private and beach front with basic necessities. My time was with my dog, again perfect if you have a pet. I actually was hesitant to write a review. I'd hate not to have availability for my next trip."

"Check in was easy and staff were very helpful. This is a hotel that is being renovated and I think will be at great when finished. We would love to come back when the tiki bar and grill are open(closed in January). Kids loved having their own space with the bunk bed room with their own tv. We walked to The Spot for dinner and drinks. Had gone to Jack Mackerels for lunch and explored the Fort Fisher museum. We would love to come back! "

"We enjoyed the peacefulness of the ocean and the clean sand beach. Safe area. We walked the 2.5 mile “Loop” everyday. Had delicious meals at the hotel restaurant , Solstice for dinner, South Beach Grill and Brunch at Marina Grill ( over by the battleship). Hotel rooms were updated, property was much nicer than expected. Staff was very friendly. We will be back!"
