"Small but quaint hotel in historic center of Cortina. Initially, we were given the room in first floor next to bar and reception area. We asked to be moved and manager accepted. Room 7 is in the same floor but very tight and small. Not sure if worth the $500 a night we paid. Hotel prides on "luxury and fashion" but this room had none of either. Maybe the rest were nicer? "The hotel is quite old looking, but nothing different from anything else in Cortina. The room is ok, bed is confy. Bathroom is fine with good shower, the only real problem is the WiFi which is terrible. The staff is AMAZING. Always very very helpful. Location is perfect, exactly in the city centre with private parking."

"I recently spent much of the month of July traveling through Italy. Of the 8 hotels we stayed at, Hotel Pontechiesa was the only disappointment. Pros: Our room was clean and the hotel is within walking distance of downtown Cortina. Cons: 1) Breakfast seating is assigned. In our case, we were seated next to a family with two coughing children. "We loved the position only 8mins drive from Cortina. Snow depth was 35cm at the top of the mountain. Man made snow kept it ok. Lot’s of cranes in Cortina starting building projects for the Jan 26 Olympics. Locals said ‘this is Italy-they won’t be ready!’ Either way we enjoyed our trip there. The staff at the hotel were amazing and couldn’t do enough to make our stay memorable. We had a priv sauna in our room. Thanks Argentina Hotel. "
