"We enjoyed our stay here for the most part: comfortable, beachy, right near the park, and ponies outside. What put a damper on things for us was the amount of noise we experienced. We visited in the shoulder of the off season (things in the area were just starting to open up) so we didn't expect things to be super busy, and they weren't, however, the walls and floor in this building are very thin. "Check in was amazingly simple. She easily found my reservation and I was able to get checked in. We went to Cape Charles which was close in proximity for a family vacation. We didn’t spend much time in our room. The time spent in the room was well worth it. It was a spacious room with a nice clean energy. My only complaint is the toilet, it wasn’t clean. Had several urine stain lines running down the front of it. I brought Lysol wipers and Lysol air freshener to spray so it wasn’t a huge deal....

"Absolutely adorable cottages on the water, spotlessly clean, the pathways were raked every morning! Fantastic old-fashioned friendliness from the front desk service. Quiet sunrises from my little deck, moon rises from their beach area. It was fully booked yet we felt easily taken care of in our own spacious privacy. "I enjoyed my stay very much. The facility was clean and my room had been recently updated. The provided breakfast was delicious. The location was so convenient for walking to the Main Street shops, and the Ropewalk restaurant was just next door. I'm looking forward to staying there again."

"We spent 3 nights in 2 over-water bungalows…4 generations ages 2 to 85. The houses were well equipped and maintained. Beds were comfy, tvs were great for nighttime watching. The front porch was a great place to hang out, eat, etc. my only suggestion is maybe put a rope ‘net’ at the end of the floating piers between the houses to make them a little safer for little children. Otherwise, it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend a visit for this unique experience."

"The hospitality at this traditional bed and breakfast was top notch. The rooms were comfortable with a fantastic view of the water. The beach was accessible from the house. The host, Mike, was very friendly and prepared a wonderful breakfast each morning, so much that I couldn’t quite finish it. Delicious. Quiet and peaceful place to stay while you explore Cape Charles and the Eastern Shore."

"The hotel staff are always friendly and courteous. The lobby is clean and well maintained. The interior rooms are in better condition than the outside rooms. Consider adding a bread/bagels/spreads and a toaster on the continental breakfast bar. "

"The front desk staff were amazing! They had answers for all the questions we asked about the area. Stanley greeted us with a purr. He has to be the sweetest cat ever! Shower water was perfectly hot, bed was comfy. Easy drive to restaurants and sights in the area. We were there in the winter and plan on coming back in the spring."

"A nice little hotel. In a cute little town. It’s an old property, but it is very very clean. Do to the nature of the building you can hear everyone talking and walking. We were woken at 8:30 this morning by the room above us being vacuumed, which was very loud. Overall a nice stay!"
