"Could not recommend this place highly enough. The check in was quick and the front desk attendant walked me to my room. The rooms all had a view of the river that runs behind the hotel and the mountain that overlooks it. Dinner at the restaurant was great. And the outdoor hot tub was a great place to relax and enjoy the northern lights"

"I loved staying outside of Reykjavik area and closer to the scenic areas I wanted to explore. I enjoyed staying three nights at this hotel because it was absolutely beautiful, the staff were simply extraordinary, the shop is everything I’d want to buy (if I had enough room in my luggage), and the variety of restaurants with high quality food (tacos, nachos, fish & chips) was super convenient. Free parking. Free breakfast spread including croissants, fresh bread, granola, yogurt, fruit, deli meat and cheese, etc. Additionally I recommend their cookies and hot cocoa! I had rented a car and traveled solo and went to black sand beach (2 hour drive). The krater lake was 15 minutes away as well as fabulous boutique shopping in Selfoss. There are lots of adventures (zip lining, horseback riding, hot springs, hiking, etc you can book while there). More importantly than all that was the staff. They would talk with you if your travels and respond when inquiring about recommendations. They are truly part of the awesome community in the small town. I’m definitely returning. "
