COBBLERS COTTAGE - PET FRIENDLY PERIOD COTTAGE

Cobblers Cottage is a period 2 bed cottage set in the small village of Muston. 1.5 miles from Filey.

The Cottage has 2 bedrooms, one with a superking size bed and flatscreen TV. bedroom two has bunk beds and a small TV/DVD player. The property has a newly fitted bathroom and kitchen, which includes washing machine, dish washer, coffee machine, microwave, toaster and a large fridge freezer.

The front room has a large Multi fuel burner and a Curved Smart TV and WIFI. There are double doors that lead to the newly fitted kitchen with a dining area that has a table and 4 chairs.

The the rear of the property is a large enclosed garden which is a sun trap. The garden also has an gravelled seating area that has a Sun swing, Rattan seats & small table. Perfect for family holidays.

There is parking on street outside the house.

It is situated 400 yards from the local pub "The Ship Inn"

The large village of Hunmanby is 1 mile away, which boasts shops that include a butchers, bakers, numerous takeaways & public houses which are child & dog friendly.

Lovely Cobblers Cottage
Spent a great week staying in this cottage. Everything was spotless, the house was very cozy and had everything we needed and more. Really good location for visiting nearby places, a car is probably essential, we were always able to park right outside the door. There is a bus stop at the end of the street opposite a pub which serves good food on nights where you don't want to cook. All in all I would recommend this property.

Great location to explore Scarborough, Bridlington, Dalby Forest and surrounding areas.
Very quiet area and neighbourhood. The dripping sound from the tank was a little irritating at first when trying to sleep (main bedroom) but did not cause a problem. Lovely kitchen and bathroom and peaceful garden. The second bedroom is more suited to younger children and would have been cramped for 2 teenagers but manageable for one week. Really enjoyed our stay.

Communication from the start with Donna was amazing. Access details given before we arrived. Loved the village. The cottage itself isn’t s so lovely, the garden is beautifully secluded so we didn’t have to worry about our dog, she just flitted from with us to the coolness of the lovely stone floor in the kitchen. Master bedroom os huge as is the bed and so comfortable. Loads of wardrobe and cupboard space, kitchen is very well equipped and didn’t want for anything. Really wish we could have stayed longer, was just so relaxing. Great base for visiting too, Hunmanby Gap is a must with a dog, stunning dog friendly beach as is Filey beach, both a very short drive, also visited Scarborough and Whitby, absolutely perfect break away, Sharon, Damian and Maisie the Golden retriever

Post lockdown family holiday
We are currently enjoying our last morning at Cobblers Cottage. We booked a couple of weeks before and communication with the host was excellent from the outset. Donna was available e to answer questions throughout our stay and offered advice. The cottage is better than the pictures suggest. The kitchen and bathroom have been renovated to a very high standard, the beds are very comfortable and the bedding and towels are super quality. As with any holiday cottage, it takes a few days to get used to things and we did find a couple of things to be missing e.g blankets to keep warm in the evening, and the fact that there is no wheelie bin means that the small bin isn't big enough for a family. The property is advertised as having one night's fuel included for the log burner, however what it fails to mention, is that to power any of the radiators in the property you have to light the fire. This meant that the two small electric heaters in the kitchen and main bedroom were not enough to keep us warm (temperatures were freezing overnight) and meant that we had to light the fire both morning and night. We felt very strongly that where the logburner is the main source of heating for the cottage that all fuel should have been included, or that this should have been clearly communicated in the listing. We have stopped in many cottages with a log burner, but where this has been a luxury and did not have to be lit in order to keep your children warm. We feel strongly that this should be looked at by the owner for future visitors. Once we had managed to get enough fuel (which added quite a substantial cost to our stay) we were able to light the fire twice a day. The cottage is old and has very thick walls meaning that it gets no direct sunlight and so is cold most of the time. The location of the cottage in the village of Muston is a fantastic base to visit all of the main attractions along this part of the coast. You can drive in to Filey Town centre in less than 5 minutes and reach Whitby, Scarborough and Bridlington all in less than one hour. The village itself has no shop but you are a short drive from town, and we actually arranged a Tesco food delivery direct to the cottage. Our children have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and loved sleeping in bunk beds. There is a small toy chest in the kids room with some family toys and a couple of dvd's. We would absolutely stay again if the issue of fuel is updated in line with other properties.

This picturesque cottage is perfect for visiting all the main locations, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington. Pretty much everything is provided in the cottage and the garden is a perfect little su trap. It was ideal for us as a family of four with our dogs

Cobblers Cottage in Muston, Filey is in a wonderful location and the village is full of friendly people. The cottage has excellent facilities and a beautiful, private garden, suitable for my Granddaughter and dog to play in. Would not hesitate to recommend staying here!

Had a lovely holiday in this well equipped cottage lovely kitchen and huge bed. enjoyed evenings in the garden in the swing chair catching the late sun . great location with in short distance of Filey Scarborough and Bridlington , with York Whitby and the Moors with in a hours drive.
