High Point Hide-A-Way w/ Internet and a Hot Tub!

Summary:
Just 15 minutes south of Chattanooga, TN, follow the winding gravel road (Lowell Lane) up the hillside about ½ mile to High Point Hide-A-Way, nestled in the center of eight wooded acres in the foothills of Lookout Mountain. Our hidden hilltop offers a relaxing, rustic, respite with modern conveniences and numerous nearby amenities.

A restored 1985 Avion aluminum trailer is the heart of HPH with a large pavilion covering this vintage trailer and additional outdoor living areas.

The Space:
The vintage camper has a cozy queen bed, a sofa bed and the dinette table can be reconfigured to form a child’s twin bed. We have two hammocks available upon request. Inside the camper is a refrigerator, microwave, hot plate, dishwasher and a gas grill with a separate burner for cooking and grilling outside.

We have a fully functioning "camper sized" bathroom inside the camper as well as a traditional bathroom with a full sized shower, toilet and vanity attached to the deck. However, on warm evenings most guest prefer our third shower which is outside. And now if you just want to sit and enjoy the nature around you, you can relax in the newly added hot tub! So, take it easy on us, and enjoy your stay!

In addition to numerous restaurants and entertainment options in and around Chattanooga, High Point Hide-A-Way is in the very heart of hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking and whitewater rafter venues such as Cloudland Canyon State Park, Rock Town climbing area and the Ocoee River. We are also uniquely situated along the bike route for the Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon. If you are looking for outdoor adventure and a cozy place to come back to, High Point Hide-A-Way is the perfect space for your next vacation!

Anniversary trip
Overall the place was great. I will say it was difficult getting there initially because the address listed was sending us to way before or way after the address. Once we saw the sign and gravel drive it was fine it was just saying the destination was a mile from where it was so we didn’t slow down enough to see it. The camper was very clean and the Tempe of the camper was great although it was very damp and humid. It was very rainy outside and very cold in the camper so it could have just been the weather but I mentioned to the host they may invest in a dehumidifier. The hot tub was amazing and so was the outside shower. I would have like for the house keepers to spray down the wasp nests near the bathhouse but overall we really enjoyed our secluded getaway.

Amazing Adventure
The HPH was an outstanding place to getaway for an amazing weekend of memories! Very accurate listing that was extremely clean. The camper bed is super comfy, the hot tub and shower along with the seclusion but convenience are amazing! The “only” negative is the total price per night with the fees.

Secluded getaway.
Great location! 20ish minutes from Chatanooga. St. Elmo’s was very close! Airstream was so cute and cool! Could have been a little cleaner, but you’re also in the middle of the woods in a camper! So honestly was great ❤️ would totally come again. The outside amenities were great!

Nice getaway, but....
With improvements, this could be the perfect hideaway. Actual TV services (Roku, etc.) would be great. Sofa definitely needs replacing, bed/pillows were disappointing, curtains/blinds need better cleaning or replacement...hot tub was GREAT but became murky after a few days. But....privacy was excellent, location and view outstanding. Overall, my wife and I had a great 7-night stay and would return if/when updates were made.

Great Secret Hideaway
My wife and I very much enjoyed the fun of staying in a camper in the middle of the woods. Having the hot tub with privacy made it the ideal spot for our anniversary weekend.

Not what we expected
The location and outdoor areas were wonderful. It is very secluded. The camper itself left a bit to be desired. It is pretty small. The futon sofa is so uncomfortable. So setting in the booth area was it. The hottub also was not working on one side which was disappointing since it was a big draw for this property. So if outdoor living is your big thing it is wonderful. If you are looking for comfort and space, you might think twice.

This was the perfect getaway for us. My wife and I enjoyed a long weekend of relaxation and peace. The location is close enough to all that Chattanooga has to offer. We walked or hiked every day, but most of our time was spent enjoying the serenity of High Point Hide-Away. We will be back!

Getaway
This place was perfect! From the outdoor shower, hot tub, fireflies, deer, it was perfect! Remember there is no stove or oven but the location was located near wonderful restaurants. Mr. T’s for pizza, 1885 and check out Woodshop for music. Easy to get to all of what Chattanooga has to offer. We loved the camper. It was cozy and exactly what we needed.

We had a relaxing weekend in this cozy spot. We enjoyed reading in hammocks, unwinding in the hot tub, hiking the bluff trail on Lookout Mountain, and trying local restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised by the ease of getting to downtown Chattanooga. We hope to return here again!

AMAZING TIME
This camper and the location are amazing. The cabin is spacious and yet cozy. The bed was more comfortable than I anticipated. We loved the hot tub and fire pit and spent most of our time hanging out on the porch. The extra bathroom was also a very nice touch. We loved the remote location where we could watch squirrels and birds and were also treated by a small herd of deer one evening. Of note, there is no stove in the camper but we used the grill and enjoyed the local restaurants in Chattanooga. Will definitely consider staying here again!

Best little getaway spot!!
For our 3rd anniversary, my husband and I were looking for a place to stay in the mountains with a hot tub and no people to be seen, just the two of us. This place was it!! The camper was amazing and we loved that they kept a little originality of the 1985 camper when they did the renovation. We loved the a/c and heating unit they installed in the camper and in the bathroom built outside the camper, under the pavilion. The hot tub did not disappoint at all! The view of the mountains from it was so relaxing. The ONLY time we had to contact anyone was when we wanted to grill and the propane tank that was under the grill was empty and the spare full one was locked up. Within 15 min. we had a code to unlock the tank and get to grilling our wonderful steaks! We thoroughly enjoyed and it was everything we expected and more!! Kuddos to the renovators, electricians and plumbers (you can tell it took a lot of work!) on getting this spot up and running for people to enjoy!! Fantastic job!! Thank you to the owners. WE WILL BE BACK!!!!
