Private,Quiet, cabin,on 27 acres,w/ trails. near the Hoh Rain Forest Nat' l Park.

Hello. At this time of the corona virus outbreak. Here are some reassurances about my place.I am on the West end of Jefferson County. 65 miles from Port Angeles and 110 miles from Aberdeen. The closest town is Forks and that is 15 miles away. There is a large grocery store. I am isolated, with no super close neighbours and in the middle of 27 acres of pristine forest land. I have my own well and I have it tested every year. My crew of helpers are doing a great job of keeping the property clean and comfortable. We get lots of great comments about this. Our favorite comment..."We can't wait to come back". The decks, gazebo, huge yard ,and the wonderful trails are really fun to relax around. And so quiet too.

Great Fall Getaway
We had a wonderful time tucked away in the woods. It was wonderful to be able to walk the trails on the property every morning. It was the perfect size place for 2 adults & a pup, though I think it would be a tight squeeze for too many more people. Overall wonderful place to getaway!grelocation

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Hoh cabin in the woods. Thankfully we had some much needed rain while we were there. The off season in this area is the best a little more room to breathe. We hope to visit the area again and the cabin would be the first choice.

Magical Home Away from Home
This was a wonderful place to stay. When we drove up, my daughter said that it looked like a real life Ghibli film; she wasn’t wrong. It was cozy, quiet, and had everything we needed. Kamala was an excellent host and quick to respond to any questions. Thank you!

A special kind of quiet
If you don't mind a small cabin with giant surroundings then the Hideaway will please you. This was our family's third time renting. I am always grateful that the forest and its creatures are still thriving when we come back. Kamala knows this is a special place. And, bless her for sharing it with others. If you are in love with the rainforest, then you will be at home here.

Serenity
Fantastic get away. Kamala is a caretaker of this unique, serene, and grounding part of the rain forest. You'll feel taken care of with all her attention to detail and hospitality. Close to the heart of the rain forest and where the river meets the ocean. The hiking trails on the property are a wonderful introduction to the rain forest as well. Am grateful I landed at this spot for a few days.

Clean and quiet escape in the rain forest
We enjoyed great communication with our host prior to our visit, and then while there, we were amazed at the quiet. I think we heard a car some distance away, but only once. Comfortable bed, too. The on-site trails provided a wonderful escape into a growing forest that shows the species diversity to be found in the rain forest.

This was a very cool place to spend a few days near Olympic National Park. Our kids, especially the youngest, were thrilled to have space to run, access to the big swing outside and some toys in the house. We did head to the Hoh Rainforest from the house and you really can’t be much closer without camping. The hiking trails on the property are incredibly similar/the same as what you’ll see on the park property. Amazing little place, very special.

Magical Forest Getaway
This was my second time staying at The Hoh Hideaway and it was as magical as the last. If you hike the Hoh River Mouth/ Oil City trail be sure to look for the whale skeleton. To your right as you approach the ocean-- a large branch is poking out almost to the sky -- look below and it is an amazing sight. Check tide tables before you go - you'll want to leave an hour before low tide. Also - so many beautiful fungi specimens on Kamala's property-- do not touch just enjoy (o: And of course don't forget that amazing out door shower. What a dream. Thanks again Kamala for a lovely visit!! Next time we'll stay longer (o:

Peaceful cottage
Spent 4 days in this lovely, cozy cottage near the Hoh National Park. Kamala was the perfect host, meeting us at the gate and sharing her thoughts about the area. The 1930 house brought back memories of a quieter, more peaceful time. The grounds were well maintained and perfect for a family setting, esp. with children. Enjoyed our experience.

Paradise in Hoh Rainforest!
We absolutely loved our time at Kamala’s home. It’s conveniently located to the western side of Olympic, including the Hoh Rainforest, Ruby Beach, Forks, and more. The home is small, but clean and well equipped. Our family of 6 had enough room to stay and play. Because the home has a shallow well, during the summer Kamala asks guests to use the outdoor shower when possible. The outdoor shower is private, has hot water, and our kids especially loved it. A great basecamp to see all that western Olympic NP has to offer.

Beautiful escape
The property was as described and even more peaceful. It's very accessible to attractions in the Olympic Peninsula. My dog loved the trails in the property, which he wouldn't have otherwise in the the national park since he isn't allowed to. My toddler had a lot of fun with the toys inside the home, and it the yard. My wife and I completely enjoyed the break. We'd love to be back sometime.

Our Favorite
We felt incredibly welcome and cared for even before our stay actually began thanks to the excellent communication. The house and property are overflowing with thoughtful details, from the cozy fire pit area to the boot dryers, which were a godsend after one particular beach hike. The trails were magical and made us feel like we were in the park, and our teenagers loved the big swing. The location was great as well and made it easy for us to visit both the Hoh and Quinault rainforests, several beaches, and Forks (where we loved Forks Outfitters). We loved every second and were all sad to move on to our next destination.
