Spacious and quiet
The house is more spacious than the pictures make it seem. Highly recommend staying here, communication with Ryan was quick and he answered any additional questions I had. Very peaceful property and a clean place to stay.

One of THE BEST getaways that we have ever experienced!!
This lovely house completely exceeded any expectations that we had! The location was so private, the layout of the house itself was perfect, and the views were...breath taking! The private beach was probably the most favorite part for our family...for our 2 young daughters to be able to get their bathing suits on and run right outside to kayak and swim, was priceless. We will definitely be staying again in the future...

Perfect!
This was our third year staying at this beautiful home on Long Lake. The location is lovely, the small private beach has lots of sand to play in and a dock from which to watch the sunrises and sunsets, the home is spacious and includes everything needed, the owners are very helpful and responsive. We love this area and the home and Tiny House. Can’t wait to return!

Wonderful Stay
We loved the cottage. The kitchen has everything you could need. We enjoyed the kayaks and row boat. The beach was perfect for our two year old grand daughter. We will definitely rent again. Ryan was easy to contact and he was quick with a response . We lost power and still had a fantastic time! Thanks for a great vacation!

Quiet week at the Lake
As always, we were greeted to the home by the cool breeze coming off the lake drifting through the double patio doors, into the clean and tidy home that would be ours for the next week. The tranquility persisted throughout the week, ranging from the call of the loons to wake us at daylight, to the frogs and crickets lulling us to sleep at night. This is a superb spot for relaxation off the beaten path, but we'll within distance of countless activities, more than what can be seen and done in a week for sure!

Great cottage on a lake
Perfect place for our visit to Sleeping Bear National Park. Our grandkids loved fishing from the dock as well as from the canoes, kayaks and row boat. Lots of perch, blue gill, bass turtles and dragonflies. Well stock kitchen for fixing meals. Comfy beds. Laundry came in handy. Quiet and peaceful. Saw beavers, geese with their babies and a raccon came up on the back deck. No one was bored with so much to do.

Beautiful cottage on Long Lake. Walking distance to trail to Lake Michigan and restaurant.
The cottage has a lovely view from the living room overlooking Long lake. Just a short walk from the cottage to easily navigated trails that are about a one mile hike to sand dunes and lake Michigan. Very clean and well maintained. Nice to have 2 kayaks and row boat available to use on site. We never made it to the near by restaurant but it looked beautiful. The cottage is on a lane off of the main road so traffic is minimal and the location is quiet. I would recommend this location to anyone looking to explore Sleeping Bear Dunes, go wine tasting, hiking or just to relax on the lake. We were very pleased with our stay.

Beautiful, well maintained house
My family and I were impressed by the accommodations and the amenities included, in addition to the organization of the welcome packet full of information about the house and our stay. We took full advantage of the kayaks, canoe and rowboat. There was firewood for fires at sunset and toys for my kids to play with. Along with everything you would need for a day at the beach including beach chairs and a cooler. The house was well maintained and clean and provided a beautiful view of long lake. We explored the sand dunes and trails, visited the lighthouse in Frankfort and my kids loved the playground on the beach in Empire.
We were sad to come home and have to leave Hidden Springs!

Wonderful Vacation Spot
We had a lovely time at Hidden Springs! The owners were extremely responsive before and during our stay. The house is fabulous, the lake is great, esp for kids, and the location is fantastic. We especially enjoyed the canoe and kayaks (though as one reviewer said, bring vests for any in your party under 90lbs, since the life vests at the property are rated for 90lbs and over). We were within easy distance of Sleeping Bear Dunes, groceries/shopping, Frankfort (brewery!), Lake Michigan beaches, and Crystal Lake. We had a slight issue with the WIFI due to a tower outage, which was beyond anyone's control! Just make sure you have a solid data plan if you require WIFI and or use of the Roku. But you're going up north to unplug, right? So spotty WIFI doesn't really matter! Thank you so much for having us!

Great location and private beach area
We stayed at this location in June with my two boys (4 yrs and 18 months). We choose this house because of the private beach area for our boys and location. We couldn't have been happier having this area as well as the kayaks. We used them almost every day. I would suggest if you have smaller kids to bring your own life jackets like we did. The location was great too - close to everything. Kitchen was well stocked. Only suggestion I would have is to put fans in the other 2 rooms for night time. Usually it gets cool at night so wasn't a big deal except for the first day as they were having higher temperatures than normal. They do have a portable a/c that we did use one day and it worked great. Thanks for such a memorable vacation!!

Hidden Gem
This property is all we expected and more. Long lake is a beautiful, quiet lake. This is our 2nd year staying at the cottage and liked every minute. So much fun lakeside playing in and around the water. Lots of games and activities for all ages. We kayaked every day sometimes numerous times. Had fun watching the wild life in and around the lake. Also searching for things in the forest across 22 Old Indian Trail. The beach at the end on lake Michigan was an afternoon stay. Even making a fairy garden in the woods. There were many teaching/learning moments for the kiddos and us as well. We have been coming to this area since we were young and continue to love all the surrounding area has to offer. Sand dunes, Lake Michigan, Platte river kayak and tubes, Pierce Stocking drive, beaches, Traverse City, Frankfort, great restaurants especially The Cherry Hut. Great hikes. An outdoor paradise! Ryan and his wife are Great hosts. Hope we can do it again.

Just Beautiful
From the moment we entered the front door and could look through the house onto the lake, we knew we were staying in the right place!! It was such a beautiful drive around Crystal Lake to get there, and then being on Long Lake was just perfect. The house was bigger than it appeared on the listing, and so lovely. It had everything we needed for preparing dinner when we just wanted to enjoy a relaxing night in. We loved having the canoes and kayaks available to explore the lake. Watching the sunrise over the lake was a perfect way to start each day!! We also took full advantage of the deck, the grill, and the fire pit. I also want to mention how amazing the star gazing is from this property. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen so many stars.
During our stay we visited Sleeping Bear Dunes, Frankfort, Beulah, Glen Arbor, and more. The view from the dunes is breathtaking, and each little town is cuter than the next. Plenty of outdoor adventure, restaurants, shops, and wineries to entertain everyone in the family, all within 30 minutes of the property. We will definitely be back!!

Highly Recommend
This is a great property. The location to Sleeping Bear Dunes National lake shore and all the area has to provide is perfect. We appreciated the comfortable interior space with beds for 6 and dining and living room seating to accommodate 6 as well. Many places I have looked at do not have enough comfortable seating for all guests to eat at a table together or be in the main room together. We also appreciated the outdoor space on the deck and the fire pit, kayaks and canoe, Old Indian Trail right across the road and sunrises over the lake. The owners are wonderful to work with and went the extra mile to be helpful and friendly. Only negative for us was that the grill is charcoal and we spend most of our time exploring and come home late and hungry not wanting to wait for a charcoal grill. We also went in early May when it is still pretty cool at night. The heat works great, but we would have preferred extra blankets rather than turning up the heat. If you go early in the season and like to sleep with the windows open or in cool air I would suggest putting in a couple extra blankets.

Hidden Surprise
My family of two teenagers and my parents visited and celebrated my parent's 50th anniversary. Inside and out the house was great whether we were coming and going or just relaxing at Hidden Springs. The lake access; beach, boats, and dock, really helped us escape our daily reality and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful lake. Communication with the owners was great and I can't thank them enough for how they helped us know more about the area so we could make the most of our time. Watching my 75-year-old dad catch a nice smallmouth bass while sitting in the back of a comfortable canoe will be a lasting memory. I can't think of a single drive or walk up or down the driveway off M-22 when we didn't see a deer or rabbit saying goodbye or welcoming us "home." Being able to hike through a beautiful forest to dunes and the Lake Michigan shoreline without getting in the car was a treat. A quick drive to Frankfort brought us views of lighthouses and Crystal Lake, ice cream, bike trails, and good food. It was also nice to be able to choose from three beautiful area golf courses each under $50 per round. We've stayed at several wonderful homes in northwestern Michigan, but this is the one that had everything we could possibly be looking for. The only reason we can't stay again next year is that we will be travelling with a much larger group. Otherwise, Hidden Springs will certainly be top of the list for future getaways.

Hidden Springs at Long Lake
The house was very comfortable for my husband and me, plus our adult son and daughter-in-law. We had family nearby and they visited us several times. The kitchen and living area were perfect for the 10 of us. The property is equipped with everything you need. Large tables inside and outside. We enjoyed the firepit every night. One day we rented jet skis and enjoyed a beach day with the kayaks and canoe on our private beach and dock. The backyard and view of Long Lake is beautiful. Very private and serene.

Perfect vacation home
My family has stayed at Hidden Springs on Long Lake for five years in a row now, and each visit has been absolutely delightful. I love having coffee while watching the sun rise over the lake. My husband takes a kayak ride each morning. The beach is so lovely for wading and making castles. The Tiny House is perfect for our adult kids to have their own space. We look forward every year to time visiting Frankfort, Empire, hiking the trails, and this year we discovered Lake Ann, which is lovely. Already looking forward to next summer!

Perfect Location!
We loved this lakefront property that is located slightly off the beaten path on a private road. Wonderful wildlife sightings including otters, fawns, loons and ducks. The house has great windows for views of the lake. The property had everything we needed for our week there. It is also close to National Lakeshore hiking trails that lead to Lake Michigan. We definitely were upset to leave. The only thing we struggled with was slow wifi service, which sometimes is a great way to disconnect and enjoy the surroundings.
