The two most prominent were that the choice of rooms I was given was either a room with a door that opens strainght into the dining room, or a room with a bath ONLY (= no showerhead... in 2020...). My complaint resulted in the owner explaining to me this the room EXPEDIA assigned to me.... on my second night I moved to a room which was separate from its bathroom, not a great...

"We stayed in one of the Forest cottage. We loved the grounds of the hotel and the gardens were so beautiful. We booked late and the only room available was one of the cottages. We found the decor to be very dated including the bathroom and it had no air con. The bathroom taps were very stiff. The pool area for these cottages felt like it needed updating/cleaned and the lounger covers on the chairs were in need of a clean and quite dirty. Overall we were quite disappointed with the accommodation....
