"Excellent accommodation close to the Keflavik airport. Breakfast available was good and basic.Staff were patient, knowledgeable and friendly. Suited our needs for an overnight flight layover. Definitely whet our appetites for a longer stay in Iceland. 😍😍😍"

"Good stuff: Eco-friendly: housekeeping on request only, separate bins for bottles, paper and general waste. Takes getting used to, but found that daily housekeeping is not essential. Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. Clean room, linen and towels. Clean and tidy restaurant and food area. Breakfast has a good variety of foods, tasty breads, boiled eggs peeled and sliced, many types of fruits and nuts. Skyr exceptionally good. Good quiet location close to the water, walking distance to public transit, shopping, restaurants and most museums. Grocery store behind the hotel. Not so good: No hooks in bathroom to hang towels/clothes, shelf over the small sink too low, so a challenge to avoid hitting forehead. Shower stall small, with not bars or rails to hold onto. Could be dangerous as the wraparound shower curtain would not stop a fall. In spite of the bathroom, we had a wonderful stay at this property. A bit pricey, but everything is somewhat expensive in this mesmerizing country."

"We really enjoyed our brief one-night stay at Hotel Berg. We were supposed to have gone to the Blue Lagoon from the airport, however, it was closed due to volcanic eruptions, and we went straight to the hotel instead. The hotel staff were charming and helpful, our room was very clean and comfortable with a spacious skylit bathroom, the lobby was great for relaxing and enjoying snacks from the bar, and the shuttle from the hotel to the airport was fast and efficient. We would definitely stay here again if were ever back in Iceland!"

"This was a perfect location for a stay in Reykjavik as it is close & within walking distance to everything once you find where to park. The service is mixed. I gave a 3 star, but would’ve given a 1 to the unfriendly girl who checked me in & a 5 to the Asian girl. Luckily, there was another couple being checked in next to me by the Asian girl, who was extremely friendly & gave good directions as to where to park. (The Asian girl was also very friendly when I asked the front desk for ice, giving it to me with a smile, while the other girl sat there sulking.) The unfriendly girl who checked me in said to look for free parking—not helpful at all. There are parking zones in Reykjavik that can cost you a lot of money in fines if you don’t realize where to park & the free lot was not as simple as googling. Other than that, hotel was modern & clean…& perfect way to tour Reykjavík before heading back to Keflavik after a week of traveling the Ring Road. "

"Perfect hotel for a visit to Reykjavik. Nice location, just a 12 min walk from downtown. Clean hotel, with comfortable beds. Friendly and courteous staff. Having breakfast, spa and nearby parking included are huge pluses for me. The breakfast was excellent, with some local fare included. What more can you ask of a hotel at such a competitive price?"

"It was reasonably priced, very clean, nice to have a restaurant with breakfast at the hotel. Staff was very helpful. Beds were comfortable great location with the bus stop right outside."
