Clean, tidy and totally adequate accommodation, pleasant staff and good selection of ales in the bar.
Breakfast served in tea room over the road. We arrived before our allocated time, and although the place was empty apart from one table of two, the proprietor suggested we were given a time for a reason and to come back later.
Obviously missed the meaning of "hospitality" in the industry, or was unable to fry two eggs at once!
Please stay at the Royal Oak, but dodge the Basil Fawlty breakfast experience.
