"The Magnolia Hotel is precisely the type of hotel I seek when I travel: Ambiance of a vintage hotel with character: wide halls, calming architectural details, thick walls, wide halls....and grace. Impeccably clean throughout. Rooms thoughtfully appointed for comfort without extraneous decor elements that sometimes clutter. A large desk and well placed electrical plugs for the business traveler. A closet safe. Ample sturdy hangers. Comfy bed. Cuddly bathrobe. Staff attentive. Freshly baked cookies served in the lobby at 8. Quiet!!!!!! Restaurant and bar on premises. I ate dinner there with drinks -- creative menu, reasonably priced, good food. A morning/lunch coffee shop next door - unaffiliated - excellent. RTD bus and light rail stops surrounds hotel. Close to large numbers of restaurants and stores. An excellent choice for the solo woman traveler (me) and the diversified couples and families I encountered. Strongly recommend. "

" I recently stayed at the Sonesta Denver Downtown, and I can’t say enough about the incredible hospitality I experienced. I was in town under very difficult circumstances—my father had been in a tragic train accident that left him paralyzed. Traveling alone and dealing with such an emotional situation was overwhelming, but the staff at Sonesta went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. From the moment I arrived, the level of service was outstanding. The restaurant staff, especially the morning crew, provided top-tier hospitality. One lady in particular (I regret not catching her name) even took care of my bill one morning—a gesture that meant so much. Housekeeping was equally amazing. They kept my room immaculate and even left a care package in my room, which was such a thoughtful and much-needed surprise. It showed that they truly cared, not just about my stay but also about what I was going through. The hotel itself was safe, clean, and top-notch. The location felt secure, and the rooms were well-maintained, providing the perfect space to rest during such a difficult time. While the standard rating is five stars, I’d give them TEN for the way they went above and beyond.
