"What a gem! As we drove up the winding driveway we wondered what we had booked. Built in 1891, this beautiful home is lovely. We received a warm welcome from Fiona on arrival. Our room was very spacious with lovely views. The bathroom was a good size and had plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable and we had a good sleep before getting up early to make the morning sailing of the Spirit of Tasmania. I was a little worried about how far it was to the terminal but needn’t have been....

"Domescapes was a unique but lovely stay, the wine tasting a complimentary bottle were a pleasant surprise. We had everything we needed in our dome, and the owners delivered pizza to our door so we weren't required to leave the property. Unfortunately the rain kept us out of the outdoor bath and we were unable to use the fire. Highly recommended this experience to all. "

"York Cove Hotel is in a very picturesque location, across the cove from George Town. It is a self-managed hotel so there is no one on the premise to help you but the manager answered the phone since I didn’t receive any check in information ahead. The pool was not in operation but the room and bathroom is very spacious and clean. The area is beautiful, nice place to relax for a few days."
