"This property was EXCEPTIONALLY clean! It appeared that this was a brand new facility in every area we were in. The showers were very clean, including the shower curtain. The toilet looked like it had never been sat on. We stayed in a primitive cabin, with our own locked toilet and locked shower room within a communal building. The entire building was immaculate! Our cabin was perfectly clean as well. The only issue was a torn screen on one of the windows and even with the heat "off", it was too warm to sleep. We opted to turn the breaker off to the heat and slept very well (47-59° outside during our stay). The staff was very friendly and helpful. My son loved feeding the trout and petting the lodge cat. No wifi, ac, or tv in the primitive cabin, but we dont use those things anyway. When i needed to call home, i stood on the porch of the gift shop/lobby/restaurant and got a strong wifi signal to video call. We will definitely be back! We look forward to being lulled to sleep by the Elk River (borders property) again! "

"Very nice park resort. The resort is decorated so beautifully for the Holidays. Our family groups love coming there to stay for a weekend during the Holiday season to get together for meals, activities, and just to celebrate the Season together. Our children love coming there as much or more then we do and look forward to it every year! However, I must be truthful in saying the activities for children did really disappoint this year. We have all ages of children in our group from 3-18 and there was not much besides the pool to entertain them. The games in the library need updated/replaced with all pieces to play them. Maybe a fully stocked game room again like in the past would have been nice. Maybe a ping pong table, pool table, air hockey, etc ? Ice skating was nice last year so you could imagine the disappointment when it wasn’t there this year. The bow making class, wreath making class are nice for adults but most kids aren’t interested in these so maybe a couple extra choices in addition to these just for kids maybe 10-15 years old would be nice. Possibly ice skating or roller skating is another option that was would be a hit. Breakfast with Santa is definitely great for the younger children and so enjoyable but there wasn’t options for 8-18 year olds. The resort is amazing and the staff is awesome and very accommodating but without fun activities all of this doesn’t much matter to the children! "

"Wow! That's what I think we all said upon arriving! It is exactly what what we were looking for, so serene and secluded. The home was exactly as advertised and very clean and comfortable. We decided to start a new Thanksgiving tradition and I believe teenagers and adults alike can't wait until next year to come back to your home!
