"I like the traditional feeling of the inn. The room had lots of space and the staff was super friendly and spoke english. Two point i found negative was the fact that to be able to shower you have to reserve a slot in the osen and also you will have to walk uphill from the train station."

"The hotel offers a shuttle service that picks you up from the train station, which is convenient. However, it doesn’t provide any guidance for visiting Mount Fuji, so we had to navigate on our own using the Hakone Travel Pass. It would have been much easier if there had been a tour guide or tourist bus that took us directly, even if we had to pay for it. "Perfect 10!!! Everything about this place and its location and surrounding area is a perfect 10! In house Onsen is amazing and the staff are very very very helpful and accomodating. Our japanese style room was very pretty and comfortable."

"I would highly recommend this hotel. We had a room with a private onsen and enjoyed sitting in it whenever we wanted. A private breakfast and dinner are included and the food was amazing. No need to pay for expensive Kaiseki. We have never felt so pampered. "

"No other word yo describe this better than the best hotel. Accomodation, facilities, onsen bath on room. Staff is exceptional perfect, polite, helpful. The breakfast is ok, but if you like Japanese food more then it is perfect. Fully recommend this hotel. Will stay again if come back to Hakone."

"Relaxing in tranquil ambience, onsen amazing, recharged after travelling. Friendly helpful staff, and great buffet food for everyone's pallet!"

"One of the best stays I've ever had. Very comfortable, everything was perfect. And it's a small ryokan/hotel so there are not that many other guests. Very peaceful."

"Unbelievable night here. Views of lake Ashi and Mount Fuji the best you can get. Even from our personal onsen or balcony footpath. The kids loved watching a movie on the big projector while the parents enjoyed the view. Fridge full of free gifts of food, wine and beer plus soft drinks also. Nice touch. "We had a wonderful stay at Villa Hakone Stage. The Villa itself is quite spacious (we had a family of three staying) - a welcome change from the cramped living conditions in Tokyo. The villa was clean and very comfortable. The location is right next to both the "pirate" ship port and the ropeway to the top of Owakudani.
