Russell Scott Backpackers Hostel
2.0 star property
7.8 out of 10, Good, 94 reviews
"Highly recommend to young and experienced travelers. We got in and they showed us to our comfortable room. The bathroom and the kitchen were upstairs. It worked for me as I was able to sleep ten hours through the night. It was great to meet friendly travelers and enjoy breakfast and snacks with them. With all the cereal and bread I imagine many nomads have caught up on lost meals. "

"Was a nice friendly hostel. Slightly aged facilities but in good working order. Hot water and shower pressure was good. Individual plug points and light for each bed. Better sound proofing between rooms and walkway would be nice. But overall a good hostel."

YHA Manchester - Hostel
4.0 star property

"Great place, good room, although it is close to two main train lines and tram routes, but we were so tired after a busy day we fell straight to sleep - Room was very warm as it is June and there are signs asking guests to leave the windows open for ventilation (Which I suspect are from Covid days and not to keep you cool); We left one window open as the noise from outside would have been too much otherwise. Mattresses are basic, but comfortable - Bedding is provided, as are clothes hangers, an...

"Great hostel. Common area to chill in, private twin room had its own toilet/shower as advertised. Very noisy in room 114 on the corner with nightlife and music going past 3am at the weekend. 2 mins of research and you should know that’s what the area is like though, so no stars deducted for that!"

The Shakespeare Hotel and Caribbean Restaurant
2.0 star property
3.6 out of 10, 4 reviews
"Wonderful, warm welcome. Room very comfortable. Few tweaks needed - drawers not easily accessible, hanging space a bit high. Wonderful shower - walk-in, such a treat as most hotels have showers inaccessible to anyone with any mobility issues. Surprisingly quiet even though on main road. Great for a couple of nights"

Peel Park Quarter - Campus Accommodation
2.0 star property
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, 1 review
"Brilliant property! Really clean, excellent checking in and service throughout our stay. Only downside is the information given for parking. We ended up paying £28 because it wasn’t explained to us that it was free after a certain time. Should have cost us £8. Private parking company so nothing reception could do."
