"We had a rental car so this property made a good lodging option for the Waitomo Caves area, which is about a 15-minute drive. The "river" deck (I think we rented a "premium king") is a deck with not much river. The room was clean and had housekeeping. It was equipped with dishes and utensils. There is a coffee cafe right across the street. 4 minutes to the main drag with a number of food options. Driving tip: Take the time to get off the highway and experience the countryside roads."

"Beautiful location, grounds and cabin. So close to glow worm caves and have their own little glow worm grotto on the property. Only a 60 second walk from the cabins. Also close to a waterfall and black sand beach. Angus was such a gracious host who made sure we had everything we needed including toast jams and coffee. "The motel is located next to the state highway, convenient to access, to 15 minutes from the Waitomo caves. The host, Margeret is very friendly and helpful. She provided milk when we checked-in, and also offered to dry our wet cloth that we got from the previous activity. Although the facility is not the newest but it's very clean and convenient. I am happy that we stayed there for the night."
