The house is lovely overall! We enjoyed our stay.
The property is clearly still a work in progress. Be very careful getting into and out of the driveway! There is a big ditch between the road and the driveway.
There is oodles of vintage charm throughout the house. We live in an older home and love staying in older homes with lots of charm. This definitely fit the bill. But beware of trip hazards! The transitions from wood flooring to tile floor are an inch or two different and there is a tricky spot going from the living room to the stairs that got us a couple times. Once you're aware of it, it's fine, though.
For those traveling with kids - we weren't there long enough for our kids to need to take a shower, but I imagine with little kids, the shower would be tricky. Even when my husband or I showered, there ended up being water on the bathroom floor.
The kitchen was well appointed. The only thing we didn't find was a colander to strain our pasta, but we figured it out just using the pan lid. The kettle, tea and hot cocoa were big hits and my husband learned how to use the Nespresso. There's also a french press if you prefer that.
There is no yard to speak of, but the walk into town is totally doable. 5 minutes downhill to the coffeeshop, restaurants, shops, etc... Really great location. We had fun and while I'm not sure we'll be back in the area any time soon, we would definitely look this place up again.
