Make your reservations now for the Appledore Lodge
What a wonderful stay in Paihia at the Appledore Lodge! Just a short drive away from the main beach, and the warm welcome, quiet and lovely accommodations, and scenery can’t be beat! Colleen and Ashley were great hosts and the other guests were also very pleasant. We enjoyed our stay at The Cottage, along with a swim in the pool, tasty breakfast, beautiful gardens and calming river. The travel advice was well received and Colleen was able to book a tour for us, too. We would highly recommend a stay at the Appledore Lodge when near Paihia.

Colleen and Ashley are very warm and welcoming. They are running a very personal and friendly business in a professional way. A lovely setting with amazing views. Very tranquilly aside from a little bit of road noise in our unit. We would be more than happy to stay here again. :-)

Beautiful B&B
On arrival we received a very warm welcome from Colleen and Ashley! Colleen gave us good information regarding what to visit and where to eat locally. Our room was extremely comfortable and clean and had an amazing view of garden and river. Breakfast was terrific. Would highly recommend this homely B&B!

Relaxing location
Appledore Lodge is in a fantastic location right next to the river - the photos on the website really don't do it justice! We had the suite - it had all the amenities we needed for a great stay. Colleen and Ashley couldn't do enough for us - great hospitality and lots of advice on what to see in the area. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The most beautiful property we've ever stayed at.
We loved loved loved staying here. It is the most beautiful property that we've had the good fortune to stay at. The views are absolutely stunning from the cottage: overlooking the river and green rolling hills dotted with grazing sheep in the distance. This property can be a destination in and of itself. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous: many flowers and fruit trees surrounded us. Ducks & other birds wandered about.
Our cottage was huge: so much space! The living room had floor to ceiling windows that let in plenty of sunshine and allowed us to enjoy the views from the comfort of the sofa. They provided soft bathrobes in the master bedroom closet. There was also a washer/dryer in the unit, along with detergent.
They left breakfast on our kitchen counter each evening. It was quite generous: cereals, toast, yogurt parfaits, orange juice, huge fruit plate, fresh eggs, salami & cheese, muffins, tea, coffee & milk. Our cottage had a full kitchen with every little detail thought of. We wanted for nothing.
Our hosts were incredibly informative and welcoming. The gave us lots of information about the area. They assisted us in booking a boat out on the Bay of Islands.
I wish we could have stayed here much longer. This was by far our favorite place that we've stayed at during our travels. I would definitely stay here again and I would highly recommend it to all our friends & family.

B&B charmant,route bruyante.
Un lieu qui pourrait être idyllique un peu gâché par le bruit permanent de la route toute proche. Propriétaires adorables.

Idyllic Setting
Wonderful place to stay overlooking the flowing river and green fields. Lovely garden with birds, ducks and rabbits.
Colleen and Ashley are very welcoming hosts and great to chat with and have lots of local information.
Breakfast is a real pleasure and a good get together with other fellow travellers.
Rooms are immaculate and beds very comfortable.
Only minimal downside if you are a light sleeper is that there is some noise from the road.

B&B in beautiful riverside setting.
We were made very welcome by Colleen and Ashley, tea and home baked muffins on our arrival. Lots of good advice about places to visit, with maps and brochures.
