Villa Teresa, and it's staff were fantastic and I have no hesitation in recommending La Villa Teresa to anyone visiting Havana. It's about a 15 minute drive from Havana Vieja, and there is a nice restaurant just across the road.

Great property located in a neighborhood about 20 minutes from downtown. The staff are all amazing. Across the street is one of the best restaurants and three blocks down is another nice restaurant. This is a 100 yr old bldg. If you are thinking American hotel amenities, not that kind of place. This is old world charm with 12 ft doors and 20 ft ceilings on every floor. It needs painting but so does all of Cuba. You can't go wrong with this place. We walked around day and night with no fear. Plus the have locked compound with security. We will be back for sure.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious, the staff were attentive to our needs supplying advice on nearby restaurants, booking taxis for trips into central Havana and dealing with our queries about money exchange. The breakfasts were always ample and well prepared. There was a quiet pool at the rear of the property which was an ideal place to relax.
