"Absolutely beautiful getaway from the stressors of life. No cell or data service made us finally put work aside and just be together. The hosts, Alice and Doug, were very friendly but gave us privacy to unwind. We spent almost every waking minute on the deck 💜 and the cabin had everything we could need. "A small but well equipped cabin at the end of a private road. A deck with table and chairs expands the living space. Very quiet location behind the owners house. There is a fenced in yard at this cabin perfect for a dog to explore. There is a barn and fenced area for the two horses. A large section of the pasture has reverted to natural plantings which attract a variety of birds. The road to the cabin runs along the pasture providing viewing and photographing opportunities. "Our week in Highlands was so enjoyable and Foxglove Flat, although rustic on the outside, is a beautiful space to call home. It was absolutely spotless, comfortable and easy access for my husband with his mobility issues. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you need to cook. Multiple coffee making options was nice. "The location couldn’t be better. Views from the cabin were great. We used the dock to access the lake to spend many hours swimming and floating. Sunsets from the dock is a must see. The cabin itself was clean and roomy. Can’t wait to visit again. "

"So, I booked our room back in September, October of 2021. Between then and when our trip was, the property changed owners. Apparently, there was a bit of a mixup with the booking and the whole lodge was booked for a reunion. We get there to check in, and not only do they still accommodate us, despite the mixup, they gave us an upgrade for no extra charge. We were staying for our anniversary and were absolutely thrilled with everything. We will definitely visit again in the future."
