"There's no doubt that The Boat Inn is a lovely, traditional pub in a super location, right on the banks of the Wye with good views of the river from the bedrooms above the pub. The surroundings are wooded and distinctly bosky, which is nice. There is a small village (Redbrook) with a village shop a few hundred metres away across an old railway bridge. "Nice secure spot up a lane away from the road so happy leaving mountain bikes overnight.Small but really nice layout with great shower and kitchenette area. Bed was too small in both directions (I'm 6ft tall) and sofa bed very uncomfortable for my son, so none of us slept very well.Nice garden and dog friendly.Would definitely book again but only if the bed situation is improved"

"Really nice apartment right in the middle of town. Very comfortable beds and lovely cosy lounge. The kitchen area is also very tidy with all you need to cook for your family. Would definitely stay here again. Only slight downside is the noise from the flats above and below, but this was daytime only noise. We slept very well. Overall very enjoyable stay. "

"Roy was an exceptional host, he was very informative about how to get to the property as the sat nav was a little bit unreliable. He showed us around the hut with all the facilities that were available. The hut had everything u could possible need. It was beautiful and relaxing and I cannot fault it at all. "A lovely 3 night Stay in Hay on Wye. The cottage is stunning and so well located for browsing the shops, the sights and the castle and perfect to pop back and forth if needed.
