"The hotel was more modern than expected, and this was mainly due to the pictures shown online. We had both also thought that the location was somewhat more remote, perhaps in a wooded area, but it is actually on the edge of an housing estate! The staff at the hotel were polite, and nothing was too much for them. A special mention to the bar/waitress young lady with the pink hair braids (unfortunately I can't remember her name), who made us feel especially welcome.There was a good selection of food at breakfast and poached eggs were available on request. We ate in the restaurant for one evening meal which was also good. We chose not to have our room serviced, which entitled us to a free drink at the bar. However, we later found out that it was only one drink between the two of us, and when ordered, I was told it was only one for the whole stay, not per night. I don't think I would choose this option again! The room was comfortable and had everything needed. Just one thing I would point out is that as you enter the room, there is a rather large shelf. We both walked into it on several occasions and both of us had bruising as a result. There was room to move the shelf at least another foot away from the door, and I think this would be a good idea. I had a massage booked, which was cancelled, due to agency staff not wanting to work after 4pm even though my appt was booked for 5pm! They offered me the following morning, but we were leaving, so I had a refund and two free drinks "

"Firstly, this is a hotel you really have to have brought your car to. If you have a car, getting around will be super easy. Nice comfortable stay, v comfy bed. My only two gripes - the only food we ate was a dessert we ordered (crumble and brownie) both were below average and at £8 that’s bad. The room temperature wouldn’t change, despite me turning on the aircon "

"Very welcoming staff so that was a great first impression. Very well presented accommodation. Great shower. Plenty of beverages and having a sofa too in the evening was a bonus. Enjoyed some good food in the pub along with a very drinkable bottle of red. Great atmosphere. Bed was very comfortable. It is only self serve continental breakfast of cereal, yoghurt and toast. But price we paid was ok for that. Bad points - road was noisy but ear plugs sorted that out. Also need an eye mask as the roof window doesn’t have blind but apart from those points, I’d stay here again. "
