Your view is the ever changing waters of the Albemarle Sound. We provide kayaks, a game room, fishing poles and crab pots. No need to go anywhere else. Fix your meals in our well stocked kitchen with gas range, better than eating out because you know exactly how it was prepared. Support our local fisherman and purchase fresh seafood locally or catch your own. Enjoy the scenery. Pods of dolphin can be seen swimming right off the bulkhead. Otter occasionally sun themselves on the Dock and banks. You will often see Bald head eagles, Osprey and all manner of sea birds from the large Sound side windows. Enjoy your coffee from the comfort of the great room while you experience the peace of the Albemarle Sound. Watch the Sunset and enjoy an outside fire in the brick firepit. Sit on the dock, or lay a blanket or yoga mat out and enjoy the sun. Explore the Sound by kayak, paddle board or wade out into the waist high water. Play pool, darts or ping pong in the downstairs games, sports room. Watch awestruck as waves break over the bulkhead during a storm. Walk to the little community park and play a game of tether ball or volley ball. The boat ramp is right next to the park for your personal water craft.
The home features 3 bedrooms, all with water view, all queen size. Plenty of linens, water themed rooms with fluffy comforters and a couple of beach towels if you forget yours. 2 baths. The Master bath has oversized shower. The hall bath has a tub.

Stainless grill outside. Pet friendly with many dogs in the neighborhood. It is important to keep your pet on a leash and keep them safe from falling in the Sound. Water Winds is bulkheaded so it drops from yard to Water with a low wall in between. Currently there is a ladder available to get in and out of the water at the end of the dock. There are also steps into the water for easy access and to get in and out of the kayaks.
Friendly neighbors will greet you as you walk about Holiday Island. Explore further with day trips to historic Hertford which has the oldest court house still in use. Take a step back in time and enjoy Steamers baseball in a wood stadiums with the original flip numbers, from bygone days. Then watch Bull Durham and see the similarities. Go to Edenton. Walk the town, go out on the docks and watch the boats and maybe get a boat tour of the Albemarle Sound. Take a motor trolley and get a history tour of Edenton. Learn the story of the lighthouse which was moved to its current site in Edenton. An hour and twenty minutes drive will see you to the Outer Banks for a day at the Atlantic Ocean. Kitty Hawk has a great area that is free to park and lifeguards on the beach and a excellent convenience area with showers. Walk to I've Got Your Crabs for fantastic seafood. When going through Elizabeth City stop by the Museum of the Albemarle for some history lessons. The museum is free of charge. Right across from the Museum is the Park with a scenic walk along the Water. Often you can watch sailing lessons and if you book ahead, take one yourself. On your way to the Outer Banks stop by H2OBX, a new WATER park with something for everyone. Then if you're ready for more history look up information on site X of the Lost colony, Interested in the story of Virginia Dare? The latest research says they moved inland 10 miles from Water Winds. Near site X is Bertie beach and see their plans for the future , take some fishing poles and enjoy the Water some more.
