"Came for Mardi Gras/50th birthday and the communication was great with the owner. What I would recommend is updating your television so streaming services can be used. Also the lights/fans were not all operable. It would have been great to have a tv in the bedroom as well. Overall it was clean and convenient to the Mardi Gras festivities. 👍"

"The house was beautiful and clean. We contacted the host a few times and got an immediate response. We enjoyed the lovely kitchen and open concept floorpan. The house is very large with 2 bedrooms down & 2 up. The bathrooms are very nice. We enjoyed the back screened porch with 2 fans to provide a cool breeze. We fished during the day and enjoyed the peace & quiet of the area."

"Our family enjoyed our vacation at Island Girl. We arrived after dark. Laurie left the lights on for us. This property is well furnished and clean. We had everything we needed. We enjoyed using the kayaks, fishing from the dock, and relaxing in this quiet and scenic location where there is an abundance of wildlife. It is located just a short drive from the French Quarter. I do recommend bringing plenty of drinking water and bug repellent."

"The outside of property needed lawn care, the home itself was nice as well as the indoors. If you are driving a large SUV as we were be careful when turning in driveway related to a deep drop off ditch area were you can possibly get stuck or even damage your vehicle, not much space either on the street for maneuvering either due to overgrown grass and bushes...the house is nice, but not in an ideal location."

"Two kids loved the house. They went on fishing charter and caught 34 fish redfish, trout and a big catfish. Loved the swamp tour on the airboat. Large alligators and raccoons came very close to the boat. Six adults and two children. Close to New Orleans but very quiet and relaxing area with great views from all the decks. We will be back soon. Karen the property manager a pleasure to work with."
