"Just returned from an amazing weekend staying at the Ria Formosa. A short walk from the airport, ideal if you’re travelling light. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the room was exceptionally clean. We stayed in the Royal room, it went well above our expectations and the hot tub was lovely and clean. "We were delighted with the location of the hotel to explore Faro and we loved the quirkiness of it all. We were off season so didn’t expect to use the pool and outside areas. They were a bit run down looking with some broken sunbeds and torn curtains but hopefully that was being addressed by the owners as they renovated for the start of the new season. We had an amazing evening meal on our second evening which was the highlight of our stay. We really enjoyed our stay"

"Room is small but it did the job, bed sheets not the most comfortable but mattress good, shower nice and very clean. Faro is small so it’s within 5 minutes to everything. WiFi and tea available for free. Staff were lovely, when we got locked out at 2am she came with no complaint to come and let us in. "

"We enjoyed our stay very much. We had a room for three which was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent, each member was friendly and ensured that our needs were met. Parking was on the street, it was free and within close proximity to the guest house. I definitely recommend a stay."

"What an amazing place Vila Milreau is. Spotlessly clean, great, quiet pool area and really friendly owners. There’s a good little supermarket across the road, three really excellent, inexpensive restaurants and a small bar which can be found if you turn right at the church. If you need to get about Ubers are readily available and super cheap. We’ll definitely be back!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was in an excellent location in a quiet area but also near the train station and the town. The hosts Cláudia and Luis have put a lot of time and effort into ensuring the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was delicious with freshly baked bread, homemade jam and good quality coffee. "Miguel was extremely helpful at the reception. His English was excellent. We were able to store our bags in a safe location while we waited for an early checkin. The Historic region of Faro was a short walk away with shops, restaurants, historical buildings to visit. The room was small but updated with a comfortable bed. The community kitchen allows us to store and prepare food. I highly recommend this Guest house."

"This property was absolutely lovely. We booked late on our night of arrival, past 11pm, and the owner, Gino, was waiting for us when we got there. Our room was cozy, and comfortable, but the star of the show were the three private balconies outside. "Good chain hotel comfortable rooms and good breakfast. Full of golfers - think Clarkson meets Paul Merson but they were all well behaved. A few minutes walk to marina of Vilamoura and a selection of steak houses, Chinese and massage parlours. Ideal for lads golfing tip I would."

"Great hotel overall. We stayed a week in February in a room with ocean view. The room had a nice view and good size. Breakfast was delicious. Indoor pool was always warm and gym was well equipped. The spa is great too. The beach is one of the nicest in Portugal. While there are several restaurants nearby, there's not too much variation and food is relatively expensive. Would definitely stay again."

"We stayed for two nights. The hotel feels new and the rooms are spotless and spacious. Easy to walk a few blocks to the waterfront train station and historic center. Kitchen was well equipped. We were in top floor one bedroom with nice balcony sitting area and peek views of the water. A very comfortable stay. "

Awesome hotel with the best breakfast ever!

"We really loved our stay here. It is centrally located yet quiet, and the rooftop terrace was fabulous, offering great views of the sunset, and the spa was a welcome benefit. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The best thing was the breakfast where you could get everything and anything including all the classics, but also chia seed pudding, freshly made eggs royale, eggs florentine, crepes, and of course, warm pastéis de nata. We would definitely return."
