"The Odyssey Rooms are absolutely superb! A great location by the port and about 3 minute walk from the beach. Everywhere is sparkling clean. We stayed in the double standard and it was a spacious room, plenty of wardrobe space and the TV has Netflix and Prime which was great as we could sign in to our account. It was my husband’s birthday while there and they left him a small bottle of fizz and chocolates which was such a thoughtful touch. The reception staff were great and really helpful....

"Fridge was not very cold and technician said they were all like that. Radiators don't come on until 1800, had to wear a jumper in room during day. No kettle, tea, coffee in room. Bus stops nearby but bus system is very confusing. Hot food in palace restaurant was lukewarm with no microwave available but there was plenty of choice. The rooms and the hotel was kept very clean. The reception staff were a bit surly but adequate. The indoor pool was spoilt by un -checked children and irresponsible...

"Pros: - Great location - Nice pools - Lovely scenery Cons: - There was a tv show being filmed when we arrived and there was no warning of this. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but they took up all the parking spaces and left us having to PAY to park underground. If you're going to have a TV show on then fair enough, but to make me pay for parking is bonkers - Staff were a bit blunt, again not a huge issue. But did make me feel a little unwelcome"

The restaurant manager (man) very good and witnesses v friendly except two who told me off for taking my coffee to the terrace. Restaurant a lot nicer when they were not working. Ran more efficiently, less chaos. Area is pretty but disappointing as in the middle of nowhere. La Mata is pretty but very little there. Torrevijeca is as usual...

"The staff on the desk were very polite and pleasant. The hotel is in a fantastic location. Our rooms were very clean - loved the enclosed balcony as it was December. We stayed at New Year and was lucky to have the celebrations literally outside the hotel. Loads of places to eat nearby, also supermarkets for what else you may need. Used the tram to Altea which was very reasonable."
