"We had a great time at Isla del Sol! It was very nice to be able to relax and unplug. All of the staff were so nice. I think it’s worth noting that while Google Maps shows that there are other restaurants in walking distance, they both appeared to be closed. There wasn’t really other food options, so the full board option may be the correct choice! "

"We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The staff were amazingly kind. They treated us like family. The private beach was incredible and was much more serene than other beach options on the island. The food was great, and when we chose to eat at other properties it was an easy walk; we even had locals offering to walk us to where we wanted to go. The night time snorkel to see bioluminescent plankton was the highlight of our entire time in Colombia. We will definitely be back!"

"the setting is beautiful, with small but very lovely beaches. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. the meals were good. It would have been nice to have access to boiled drinking water without having to purchase plastic bottles every time, especially in an ecolodge! it could also get quite loud in the afternoons with music blaring but overall a very lovely spot."

"We stayed here for 6 nights, and enjoyed our time here. Although the rooms are a bit dated and worn, we didn’t expect 5 star amenities and it met our needs for the price. The hotel is very well managed, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and the menu is varied enough so that there are always a few things that that you might choose to eat. Also the prices are reasonable for an island hotel. This place does not see the hordes of daytrippers the hotels on the north shore...
