Darling & Quaint
This place is cozy and quaint. Great location and close to downtown Jacksonville. We enjoyed our stay. Everything we needed was provided and the communication was great. Very kind host. The only complaint is the king bed was hard, like sleeping on a board- as if the mattress was missing, hence the 4 stars. We would stay again but would need to bring our own mattress topper.

Private ..yet close to everything
We love the California cottage. We have stayed there several times. It is charming. The only drawback is the yard full of rocks, machinery, weeds. It has been that way for the last couple of years. Why doesn’t it get cleaned up? The bottom line…we love to stay there even if the yard looks like a construction site.

Jacksonville is a fun, lively community with many options for wine tasting, walking and shopping. The California Cottage is centrally located and my husband and I found it an ideal home base in Jacksonville being within very easy walking distance of all of the downtown amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is comfortable, well appointed and easy to find.

Beautiful respite
The property was beautifully furnished, very comfortable with an ideal location. We didnt see the parking instructions in the check-in emails, but found them once inside the property. (Parking was convenient.) We'd definitely stay here again!

Quiet and Secluded, but close to everything!
Loved how quiet and private this was for being right in town. As we were dining on the back covered deck, two small deer were snacking right next to us in the flower garden area. Very relaxing place to stay!

A "Pooch" Paradise!
If you and your canine companion are looking for the perfect place to stay in Jacksonville, THIS is your best choice! Perfectly located across from a park, has a yard that your dog can tool around in, provides a warm welcome for "Fido" with treats, is right next door to a "doggie friendly" coffee shop AND a vet as well as being very close to all of the walking trails around Britt! Cottage is a wonderful place to hang your hat for your stay with or without your pooch, however, it was made all the more inviting given that you ARE able to bring your furry family member along for your visit to Jacksonville! Thank you to the host who understands how important a canine good citizen is when traveling!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will hopefully come back again soon!

Great location
We’ve stayed at this property several times. We love the location, close to downtown and hiking trails. We were surprised the table and chairs had been removed. The bed needs updating, every time we rolled over, it made a lot of noise, plus the mattress could have been more comfortable. A few more hand towels would be nice. The toilet paper holder is in an odd place, making it difficult to reach.

Great Jacksonville cottage
Loved that it was completely isolated and quiet yet right in the middle of town. Perfect for dogs and me. House had big open area to put up pup tents and spread out but no hassle of extra rooms. Decorations were artful and expensive looking and really clean. Rental company was very helpful once we connected.

Truly the best location in Jacksonville Oregon!
We stayed two nights in this cute cottage… it is as cute/comfortable as the write up says..we walked the town, walked to Britt, shopped and ate in the wonderful town of Jacksonville… oh and of course did some wine tasting at nearby wineries. A great time!

Outstanding Location to Historic Jacksonville
We spent a month at this perfect location to visit family. The Cottage was comfortable, clean and had all of the necessities required. On top of this it was steps away from a coffee shop and delightful park for our pup, which I am sure he misses. The heart of Jacksonville was a block away and provided good restaurants and unique shopping. If you like history there is a lot on hand. Management was quick and responsive and we appreciated working with them. All in all, we were very satisfied.

Meet our needs
It was nice and clean. Everything worked fine. The yard is a work in process. They need to have instructions on using the TV/video remotes and how to access the wifi. They need a curtain on the stained glass window to block out light for sleeping.
