"Friendly staff and close to the gondola are the best things I can say about this place. Pretty expensive for what you get, but not surprising given the limited number of hotels in Gulmarg. I think they had cancellations since the snow was lacking, so the hotel was nearly empty... which is one of the reasons I think they never really turned the heat on! "The rooms are too small for even a couple & a child but otherwise, spotlessly clean. Overall hospitality needs an uplift as I found the staff a little 'crude'. The warmth that we are used to in the Indian hospitality industry was nowhere to be seen but functional for sure. "

Things not satisfactory: Bed height in our room was too low,approx 1.5 feet high, difficult to use especially if you have any elderly person with you. There is no lift . The complementary breakfast and food available is extremely limited,don't go by the extensive printed menu available in the room. "It was amazing experience. Owiner of house boat was very nice. They left no stone unturned to make our stay wonderful. From stay to ride of Shakhara was a experience of life time. Must visit place."
