The accommodation was up a flight of steps, the place looked like a 1980 time share, just needed tlc, having said that, it had living room/kitchenette, separate bedroom and bathroom. The balcony overlooked the swimming pool and open area, and views of a golf course. Very quiet area. Bed was comfortable and clean, linen and towels were sufficient. No on-site restaurant or shop."

"Really enjoyed the property. Quaint villa property off the beaten path in the beautiful town of Gordes. Perfect location to explore the area. House is very comfortable and in great shape. Off season so didn't get to enjoy the pool but would be the perfect place to relax . Owner was very helpful and nice. "

"After a lot of research, I had selected this property so that our young children (ages 3 and 6) could safely enjoy the outdoors. Specifically, the pool area is fenced in and there is a lovely shallow area for toddlers. The pool was not heated, but it was warm enough in June that our children absolutely loved the pool (perhaps slightly "refreshing" for adults). They also adored the beautiful garden and swingset. "Definitely rustic! There is no air conditioning, so on days with little breeze you will want to close the shutters on the sunny side and be in the pool. There are two buildings separated by a covered patio, so plenty of privacy for couples. Our family of 9 was not at all crowded. The property is far enough from town that cell service was spotty at best. The only issue we faced was the internet was out (animal damage to the line!) and it took several days for the "cable guy" to get there....

"We stayed with our children. Mme Mangeot was very Kind and helpful. She made a lot of suggestions as to where to visit after we told us what our interests were. It feels very much in the country (birds singing, quiet) although it was about .5-1 hour from most of the places we wanted to visit. The drives to those places were also interesting and full of stops at local places (Saigon Village nearby is beautiful) so it didn’t feel too out of the way. We would definitely come again!"

I was embarrassed actually because my sister in law was coming for her first visit to France and this was not how it should be presented. "Lovely property with excellent staff. Everyone went out of their way to make us have an amazing experience. Only criticism was that there was a large wedding that overtook and closed the restaurant and bar over several days, which meant we often had to eat in our room. Valet parking and breakfast included in the rate was a nice perk. "

"After being in some other congested, urban areas of France it was a really nice break to stay in a hotel on the edge of town, with a nice river flowing by and lots of greenery. It took about 30 minutes to walk into the central part of town, most of which was along the river on a quiet road. "

Exceptional, luxurious resort?

"Whatever your expectations for a five star luxury hotel, this property exceeded them. We have never been treated so personally, so warmly, and so professionally. From the minute, we arrived by car, they expected us, handled the check-in, and moved us to the front desk, where we were welcomed personally. Our rooms and all of the many restaurants, spa experiences, and views were exceptional. Above all, the concierge service was fantastic from advising us before our stay, during our stay, to offering us navigation For our departure. I would highly recommend this property or any in the Arielle family of luxury resorts. We departed with welcome gifts that we will cherish forever. The only downside was having to compare our next hotels to La Bastide de Gordes!"
