Beautiful location cottage lacking in comfort and character
What a beautiful location and cottage we had a fantastic time! The house was well equipped and clean. It is however lacking in any comfort or character. Pictures slightly misleading and beds and sofa have seen better days, no comfy spot to relax after a day outdoors. Management was very poor no contact made at all regarding check in or replies to my emails about check out. Last minute frantic attempts to get key code details on arrival. Would recommend just needs a wee spruce.

Great place
The cottage was lovely - had every little thing you could think of (except I couldn’t find a dust pan & brush!) beds are so comfortable and great baby essentials!! Will consider going back but seems to be booked up for the school holidays next year already as have already looked!!

The cottage was perfect, had our own car parking space, enclosed garden & a few walks from the doorstep, although a village shop wouldn't of gone a miss, nearest shops where Keswick so a bit of a journey to buy essentials would stay here again.

Excellent cottage which was very clean and very well equipped.
Excellent cottage which was very clean and very well equipped.the only things I believe could have improved our stay would be a fire glove for the log burner as the handle and vents get very hot,and the outside bins were confusing as to what waste goes in which bin!two very minor things in what was an excellent week away.thank you and we will definitely come back..👌👍

A smashing cottage, in a great location for exploring the Northern Lake District. No local amenities, but 2 pubs serving food within a 15 minute walk. Dogs loved the enclosed garden. Couldn't get the hob to work (maybe stupidity on my part!), didn't spoil the holiday tho. Would recommend, & would return.

Lovely cottage with quality fittings and furnishing.
Lovely cottage with quality fittings and furnishing. Easy access to local facilities by car, although we thought we were actually located in the village of Threlkeld. A nice walk to the nearest pub, but be prepared for Lake District weather. Garden neat and tidy, with standard benches and BBQ space. Really enjoyed our stay ... particularly the log burning stove. Thank you.

Had a lovely stay.
Had a lovely stay. The location of the cottage is excellent both for local walks and for easy road access to the rest of The Lake District. The cottage is well equipped and for us the garden was an excellent feature as it provided a safe enclosed space for our dogs. We enjoyed some lovely walks and the views are spectacular. A very comfortable cottage. The neighbours were really friendly and helpful too. The only small negative was the constant running of the dehumidifier which had to be emptied daily and was a bit noisy. Would definitely recommend the cottage.

A lovely, comfortable cottage with everything you could need provided. The only recommendation I would make is more garden furniture as there were only two seats to use and the cottage can sleep 6.

Excellent cottage with all the things you need to enjoy a break in the Lake District.
Excellent cottage with all the things you need to enjoy a break in the Lake District. Beautiful views and easy access to many towns and villages. Perfect for enclosed garden for dogs and very quiet. Walk to nearest pub is 20 plus minutes and no local shop however the cottage itself outweighs that.

Needs more attention
I hate leaving bad reviews, so to start, the location is great, wonderful views of the mountains. The space is good, plenty of room to move around with others there. However, we arrived in the dark so didn’t get a fair reflection of everything till the morning. We were in the smaller of the bedrooms. The bedding hadn’t been changed there were stains on the sheets that looked like blackcurrant juice. I have photos. After this discover more things became noticeable. Everywhere just wasn’t clean. The bathroom especially, the grout was all discoloured when made it feel horrible. All the cutlery, plates glasses etc were dirty and needed to be cleaned prior to using. This could be down to the dishwasher being useless though. Stuff came out dirtier than when it went in. There was one toilet roll for four adults for three nights? A small issue but one you don’t expect to come across. All in all, not very impressed Would not stay again but it has potential with a good clean.

We stayed for 7 nights in January ‘19’.
We stayed for 7 nights in January ‘19’. The cottage was so nice, especially when we had the fire and lights on at night. Wi-fi was great, shower was fantastic, everything you would need was available in the kitchen. Loved the Amazon fire stick and Netflix for cosy nights in front of the tv with a glass of wine or two, and the logs burning away! The pubs are approximately 20 minutes walk away and are very nice and friendly. Our stay went very quickly there and we will definitely book again.
