"Nice place to getaway from the city. Not much things to do around the hotel. A place to go to if you like to chill and relax. Weather is generally cool. There is only a vegetarian restaurant serving buffet lunch/dinner at a fixed price and no other food options and no convenient store too."

"This was our second stay at the Marion. It's like spending the night at the museum. You can read the history of the original owner if you spend a few minutes at the waterfront Chinese Heritage Museum. The hotel is very close to bars and restaurants on Carpenter St. that can be noisy on occasion. We have stayed in the Chapel wing both stays and we're not bothered by street noise. "The hotel is in a great location. Excellent breakfast options - try the sarawak laksa. Staff are very helpful and the concierge was able to find tours for a solo traveller without having to pay for 2 people. I stayed in one of the older, cheaper rooms and the bathrooms are in need of renovation however it was still clean and everything worked well. "
